There's one thing for sure the SEAC's did not help TVR out financially. Its reported they lost money on them .

Don't know if they lost out on mine ... 43K total price .. probably funded the development of the Cerbera..

Stainless,

Calm down mate, you'll have high blood pressure. Bomber was just expressing an opinion - everyone is entitled to their own and I didn't feel he was critisising your particular car.

Anyway Pies has a point - TVR were not selling enough Wedges to remain solvent which was why they produced the S, to fill a gap in the market and get the accounts back in the black as the Wedges were too expensive at the time.

Oh and as for your sin bin query - you still had one hand hanging on to the edge to stop you slipping in.

all very interesting but the "general" forum is over the page! me thinks we could be letting our standards slip chaps. This is a WEDGE site for WEDGE lovers.

Don't mind pies chipping in. Pie and chips, goes down well :allgroan:
Anyone for that matter especially the more informed that do not own Wedges but know their stuff.

Be a dull day etc if we were to live in our little slots according to cars.

No Jeff at the end of the day he came on our forum and said bad things about our cars. I'm going to meet him at the next NY meet, have a chat about wedges.Sound him out and if hes ok, might even try blagging a ride in he new car.

Gotcha. Missed most of this aftermath due to a box lifting course I had to travel to yesterday and do 4 hours this morning.

Box lifting course? as in cardboard boxes?
Bend your knees and keep your back straight that sort of thing

Yep. Health and saftey thingy. How to pick things up. Sounds like a sketch from Monty Python.

It does make sense though. Kinetic manual handling. Even though I have already been trained on how to pick up boxes. Highly trained me.

Next course is how to say OUCH when I drop said box on foot.

Steve -

Good for you mate. Sometimes people who started off as enemies can become best of friends.

I hope you and Bomber hit it off well.

Erm. Didn't quite mean it THAT way............

Strange..........

Strange how it is that a number of people have completely mis-interpreted my original remark.

Perhaps they don't speak or understand english. More probably it is the strange nuances that the language can so easily create.

Still, I know that Tas and Steve and a few others undertsand what I mean - so that is good.

Fair point, people having different opinions is what makes this forum so useful for me.
I know Bomber has qualified his initial comments now, but when I first read things like this:-

'Sorry, no accounting for taste, but didn't realise there was usch a rush for wedges. However, they are the bargin basement end of the market.

Your car may will keep up with most cars in the market, but it still won't change the way it looks, which is the original discussion. Don't be so defensive, you've nothing more to prove than most other TVR owners think they have.'

In common with Steve, I thought someone was having us on.
I know its difficult to express the feeling of what is intended when your typing words on a keyboard, well I find it difficult.
Like Steve said, with the number of tvr's bomber has owned, I too look forward to the advice he can offer us (If we havn't scared him off), but to be fair to everyone, we didn't know anything about bomber at that point and I think I for one didn't read it the way it was intended.
Just my opinion! and I don't mean to stur it all up again.
Gareth.
