Has any one had their centre instrument section
re-veneered.

Who did it, how much etc..

Oh - and is it real veneer or some substitute.

Just had glove box, centre console, dash panel and door bars reveneered by Malcolm at London Carraige Company, took 2 weeks and they are fantastic, better than new. Cost £400.00 ex P&P.
Highly recommended.

I had mine (all 3 dash panels + door trims) done at London Carriage Craft. He uses real veneer, and I just couldn't believe the difference it made to the interior.

Can highly recommend him.

Rich.

Just a note, Malcolm mentioned on another thread nobody sends him any pics of fitted dashes. So he is unable to put a TVR page on his website.

Just a thought

Like the Vaneer Dash but price for them renewing 180.00 for the das n 120.00 for the console from TVR Blackpool they have originals in stock £400.00 fitted dunt seem 2 bad.
I was thinking of taking mine out and getting a friend to use it as a template and do me a brushed stainless one, kant seem to find any on any sites, wot you guys rekon undecided I am undecided dazed n confuzed over wot to do with it, it only peeling in the corner and lifted here n there, But they all do that I fancy it but would it spoil the car?? or is it all down to individual taste??? would replace all door vaneer etc with same.

I dont think the original TVR ones are wood veneer, and thats why are go bad and shabby. The reveneered ones for LCC are very good. Im not on commission honest.

Guys.. Am seriously considering getting my veneer re-done on my 390, but have always wondered whether all, or only some, Wedges came with the door pulls as a veneered strip as well,'cos mine hasnt got them.mine are leather covered.
i have got the door strips along the lenghth of the door.
Are the door pulls just a rectangular strip of metal with two welded metal threads on the back, like the dash panels? or do they wrap around the handle? Cheers

Andy - All the wedge door pulls I have seen and owned have always been leather covered...

THe door trip strip is usually a painted wood effect .. but on my SEAC is alloy.

Hope that helps.

Again, London Cariage Company, better than original, sent other half of dash so they could match it up, more than pleased with results.

Hi guys, Malc here, With regards to replacement of owners original veneer dash boards etc, in our experience it is not a viable thing to do as we all know one TVR differs from another even though it might be the same model, as they are hand built. Therefore we always advise that, using customer’s original parts that fit will re-fit from where they came. This is not a slere on TVR but is always true to fact when a vehicle is hand built. (as I know this to be fact, as I served my apprenticeship with Rolls Royce Mulliner Park Ward).
I really appreciate the comments with regards to our workmenship, and would like to point out what is said about pictures of our work is true unless you guys let us have some picy's we cannot put a TVR tab on our site.
Regards Malc

With regards to the leather hand pulls, it is posible to veneer these as the leather is removed and then veneer can be applied , as some early models had wooden ones, and have done these in the past.
