I have posted a couple of replies / questions under other topics but never introduced myself.
I have rescued a 350SE (number 4) 1990G Mica Blue - Magnolia as a project car.
Its been standing for a couple of years waiting the nose cone sorting, so needs a 'bit' of work.
It was a decent motor prior to its 'mishap' - sold by Gilberts in 2001.
I'm northern - Preston based.

I've found a copy of the TVR Engineering News Release Re TVR 350SE Limited Edition in the April 1990 TVR Sprint. To quote:
'All 350SEs will feature a 240bhp, 270ft.lb. alloy V8 engine and polished multispoke wheels. Each car will be uniquely numbered for future recognition. With a retail price of only £21,000.00, they are expected to sell to eager collectors and speculators.
During the last seven years, the 350i has had various external and technical modifications. The limited production 350SE is seen as the ultimate progression of the 350i in terms of both outright performance and enjoyment'

Gerald - you need to get out more ...
Did you know the V8 Wedges all used the Rover 77mm gearbox ... nurse, nurse..nur...
This sounds like another TVR attempt to rake in some shekels. After all, by 1990 the 400SE had replaced the 390SE, so was the 350SE just a way to keep the 390 theme going, but without the bodykit? Does the 350SE have a 400SE style shell, or bodykit, or dash? Or is it a bog-stock 350i with a 3.9L in it, and a price hike? After all, the 390SE was only around £21K towards the end of its life, and at least it looked different...

DJC Welcome, Welcome - a positive Wedge Revival going on - excellent.
I remember seeing your car in Autotrader about a year ago - I hope you got a good deal and look forward to seeing it out and about. If it needs a new nose - giz a call/mail as I have one off a 350i.
My first Wedge was one of the very last 350i's and was 5 ahead of the first 350SE (chassis number wise). The 350SE is a cracking and rare Wedge - IMHO. I worked with TVR when they came out and the deal was that the 3.5 was no longer available from Land Rover so they fitted the standard Range Rover 3.9 engine with the 14CUX (hot wire) controller. With the TVR manifolds and the gulf spec tune which would have gone with the non-cat RR engine it would have been a real 200hp - 240 is standard TVR brochure speak a bit like my 275hp 400SEreally! Does it matter - no - the extra torque of the 3.9 made the 350SE a wonderfull tool - lucky chap - enjoy.
