Glad it all went well and sorry I couldn't be there (thanks Maggit for going on my behalf - only joking).
Was thinking of you when we standing in the Insane Racing awning on Saturday morning as the weather was abysmal. Fortunately it stopped around lunchtime and then got gradually better as the day wore on.
Sunday was great and we just made it back before it rained again (apart from the odd downpour just outside Oulton Park which was OK as we were moving).
Hope your weather was as good.
Hope the Growl will be OK too.
Rev,Neil H - we'll have top coordinate for next year, with the S's etc to have a real top notch event (for reasonable money).
Did you get Club support??

We used about the same amount, but did around 340miles over the w/e. It was noticably better on economy after Mark Adams made the simple mod of disconnecting the cold start injector too.
If there was an award for most fuel consumed, can I have it? Bearing in mind the car was running like crap, I did 380 miles on... wait for it....

I'm sure cirks would have beaten that if he had not been in cruise mode on the motorway !

Thanks to everybody for putting a great event together.
It was asome to enter the carpark and see so many wedges.
Got back in one piece (or is that two when the wife came along) to Belgium, after an over a 1000 miles drive (including a pre-BBWF visit to friends in Wales).
Stopped counting the litres that went in, it was all worth it.
Had a small thing on the way back: front wheel play got very excessive. Adjusted the play, and started to pray if we would make it (over 150 miles to go!) with at least one shot front wheel bearing.
We made it, so all happy memories (now where did I put those spare front wheel bearings....).
See you at other meetings (Zolder?).

Special greets to the fooks we couldn't say goodbye to or wave at!! As it was our "petit vacation", of course we were a bit late...
PS Tallbloke: still can't forget Wales! Guess it was the good part then, where we were :-p

13 Gallons of Fuel used
Went from Home to Peninsula (Exeter) 110 miles
Then Peninsula to BBWF 150 miles
Then BBWF to Home 70
average roughly 25mpg
Total Time Taken to get to BBWF
2.30 home - peninsula
6 hours service @ Peninsula
2.45 - Peninsula - BBWF
4.30 - BBWF
1.40 - BBWF Home
Total time travelling - 6 hours 55 minutes

Wales is beautiful. It's just that it's closed on Sundays
Not far wrong a few years ago. Been hill walking many a time only to drive like mad men out of the dry county to one where the pubs are open. Well, open for the non locals.
Also staying in a village where the pub was closed so no beer and no food. So a mad drive around for miles and found a takaway and a offy, so loaded up with nice hot food and beer only to be told by the landlady you can't bring that in here. So sat on a pavement outside our digs, scoffing and drinking, and the locals tut tutting us.

Came down off the hills one saturday evening to find that our tents had been unzipped and the farm dogs had ransacked our grub.
Went for a pint and had missed the last call for food (7.30!) got served ale in glasses which had been washed with salt.
Drove to Capel Curig where we were told the pub served food until 8.30. Got to the bar at 8.25 and were told, "sorry lads - foods finished".
Went to bed hungry, woke up on sunday...... I love Wales, it's just the Welsh I have a problem with.
