Phil How different is your chassis to a tuscan racer ?
I think the chassis on the racing tuscan was created they used a modified design for the griff chassis and then the chimp, it was lenghened for the cerb too. Also the man that designed the wedge chassis worked on the tuscan racer, he was also a ex lotus man and followed there design ideas at the time hence the way the back end was designed.
The racer chassis is fully rose jointed top and bottom wish bones and the joints to the hubs.
I think this is correct...
Hope this helps

Can't afford wheels.
Designing it to run on rails:
Yes, outboard discs using Jag hubs.
The drive shaft on the Jag is to long so we will have adjust the length.
Can’t use your old shafts as they have bigger uj’s and will not fit inside the hub.
Lower arms will not fit inside the tyre or rim. Also the fixing on the Jag hub is not the same.
We will end up with too many mods to the lower arms…so it will be better to make new arms.

Hi Phil
That rear tyer looks sick under the back of your car, hope its going to look as good up front too.
If your going to use tuscan hubs in the back there should be a prob with the size of the UJs, are you installing top with bones and having a telescopic drive shafts?
As far as the existing drive shafts on the SEAC if they are the larger diameter as they are on mine they will handel more than enought power, just look at SH purple monster and the power running through the back end with little change to bearing or drive shafts i think.
I gess the cost of all this work is adding up then you have the gali to get done, you could paint the chassis to cut the cost of having the suspention geometry sorted, looking good Phil keep us updated

Adam,
I'm aware of the unsprung weight issue/argument but would just like to follow the route of all the later TVR's. I also don't like looking at fresh air through the rear wheels
Hubs are Jaguar not TVR.
I do not intend going mad in the power department and will only be using the car on the street so do not forsee any drive shaft issues.
New ali front hubs being machined so will end up with Jag pcd all round.
Stay tuned.

Alan,
Strange axles are very nice but really not needed considering the weight of a Jag saloon with V12 power, I'm sure the IRS will be fine- just need a proper job on the drive shafts.
Several guys at the Pod with Jag IRS running 9's with 800+ horses and no problems.
Cannot wait to complete front & rear suspension so we can strip back down and get the chassis galvanising out of the way ready for the rebuild.
