Don't forget BBWF. Its pinned at the top of the Wedge forum. Many a Wedge can bee seen and questions asked and other cars looked over for a comparison.

Hi Jim, sounds like you are in the same boat as me!
Ive had my 400 for 6 years and have done most of the work on it myself, but then again nothing major has happened yet ( is that tempting fate or what!)

This site is a great source of info with loads of helpful people, just start asking away and you will almost certainly get answers.

Cheers,

Andy.

Welcome Jim, don't listen to the negs, they're just jealous. I'm in the same boat as you but unlike Andy don't have the knowledge, skill and really the time to do much myself.

I've been lucky to find a quality specialist on my doorstep (the V8 Centre in High Wycombe) and they help to restore your confidence that this beast need not cost you an arm and a leg to keep on the road.

It'd be worth a journey if you can find a similar outfit up your way which I guess is probably what you're asking, doh!
Hope to see you at the BBWF

Steve
P.S got any pics?

Welcome Jim,

For local information would also recommend speaking to your TVR Car Club Region Here The regional organiser deals in TVRs but I am sure he would also be of user for knowledge of local workshops.

Hope to see you & wedge at the BBWF..
Cheers

Jim, If you're not averse to a quick trip to Stockport, there's SFR Engineering (advertises on here). Shane is a great, down to earth guy, who doesn't take the pi55.

Hi Jim,
welcome to the fold. I'm sure you will find this forum invaluable. It's always worth doing a search through past threads if you have any problems, most topics have been covered here at some time, but any posts you make will always be answered by someone with first hand experience.
I've done all the work on my 280 myself since buying it as a non runner 12 months ago and have found it to be relatively straight forward to work on. Would also recommend getting yourself a copy of 'The Bible'.
I'm not too far from you, just the other side of Chester, so if I can be of any help let me know.
