Just doing the annual full service, changing all oils but don't know which diff oil to use ? How can you tell if its a limited slip diff?

Bible say most SII 350's had one, but how do I make sure ?

On another thread does anyone know where to get the complete wheel centre caps from ?

"Should be from the model. Look for a tag on the diff with PLOC or similar on it and the ratio. I no PLOC tag then jack up one side and see if you can turn the free side. lsd will slip only with some pressure. Non lsd will turn very easily. "

For the oil (if LSD) Castrol Hypoy LS

I always thought if you jacked up the back end and turn one wheel. If the other turns in the same direction, its an LSD, if it turns in the opposite direction, its not.

Happy to be corrected

I'd agree with that. Does anybody have a spare standard diff at 3.77 ?

Here's how I thought an LSD worked.

Jack up rear of car. Handbreak off.

Have a friend hold one wheel - whilst you turn the
other after so much of a revolution then the other wheel should now turn or the other wheel should
turn when it's only lightly held.
