Sorry I haven't posted yet but I've just got back from collecting the SEAC! Ahem at 5pm. 1 tank of fuel latter, don't know what all the fuss was about, it's OK.

Who the hell am I trying to kid it's outragous (ok I'm shaking so much I've given up on trying to type properly). I collected it from Aylesbury at 5pm and had to go home via Buckingham and Bicester. Roof off all the way. The gods were shinning on me after this morning downpoors!
I haven't really pushed it yet as the roads weren't great, but under 1st impressions it feels amazing. So much torque. Coming back on the M-way someone pulled alongside at about 80 and started checking the car out, so I did the only thing a true petrol (Piston?) head would do and dropped into 4th and floored it. The look on the people's faces when they caught up a couple of miles later was priceless.
Right I'm of for have another spin.

Excuse the typing, SEAC syndrome

Jeff!
I don't believe it!
Our Wedges were the stars of the original Gorge Rumble sound-off, your is on the high side of OK!

Come to think of it, you have never been in my BBW - if you want a run around the block you're on!

Did anyone who was at the Nov Mid Essex meet record the sound of D659 YLP (the yellow one) when I was asked to fire it up? I know these digicams have a short video facility and/or sound recording capability. Maybe they can post it on a site somewhere.

I was sitting there at the meet giving it a few revs when requested, ("...go on - give it some welly!") and wondered why everyone was laughing. But then it makes me laugh anyway! It made my brother laugh when I took him for a very short spin and he is deaf. He says he refuses to allow me to drive when we go to a meeting in Suffolk in a few weeks - even if I say we go in the Jag! Mind you it sent a Cerbera searcher pale when I did a demo for him and the driver's door sprung open around a fast left hander and there I was wheel in left hand door in right!

There's something about these cars!

I forgot a to put a wink in there somewhere. I know what all the fuss is about

Steve

If you are offering what I think you are, you are very generous. A ride in the pass seat would by fine. I would be crapping myself in case I scratched it.

Duncan

Many a good memory of the 1st gorge blast (and GOTG). But a SEAC is still on my must have list, one day it will happen. So thanks for the offer. Very kind of you. Love to.

Wow. Thanks Richard but afraid I would damage it. Would hate that.

Just thinking, a detour through the Brynglas tunnels wouldn't be too far out of the way would it? Have to go around the jubction at the end of it to come back through the other side? Be a shame not to......2 BBW's 3rd gear at 70

Cheers Steve. Also, if any Wedgers want a run out in a slightly modded 400 at BBWF, just ask.

Sounds like there are some real happy new owners out there .. can't say I had trhe weather to really enjoy mine .. but I did get it up to 120 on a clear dry stretch of my drive way .. and it was pulling like a train.

The noise is now awesome.

Don't think I can make Windsor - I don't think A 5EAC will like the M25 in all that traffic (I endured 3 hours of it on Saturday in the Focus..).

It sure is a different beast now - sorry I was not able to video it on the rollers as they could not do it for me ..
