Noise from rear end

My beloved has developed what can best be described as a rythmic rubbing noise above 20mph. The frequency increases with speed.

Any info appreciated. By the way, I am talking about my car!

Had similar noise on the SEAC , turned out to be a rear wheel bearing

Could well be. Meantime I have had a fettle and there seems to be some play in the NSR when rocking the wheel.

She goes into the workshop next week so its one more for the list...
