Ah, that makes me feel better.

I've got bubbling paint as well but I think that's just the respray reacting with moisture; the ripples look similar to yours.

Certainly the Kevlar exacerbated the situation but plenty of the 280s and 350s have the ripples above the windscreen.

Great news that you now own it Hatter, very well done, as already said this is the best TVR find in ages
Out of interest it also looks like you have the rare 16" rims ?, there were plenty of the 5 spokes in 16 , as I sold most of them, but I've only ever seen one car with 16" in the "basket weave" style.
Good luck with the project .

Wotcha Mike
those SEAC discs being 28mm thick will Take a skim, both of mine had front discs skimmed with out any probs, they are genuine AP and cost quite a lot.
Pads no problem give me a bell.

Going back to the original posting, I think Adrian's memory is correct. Oulton Park August 1989.

And from the side, the only note I have about the car is that the rear tyres were 345 section. Knew if I kept the photos for long enough they'd come in handy.

The Barry Zee car is just as I remember really OTT.
The question is still WHYYYYYYYY!!!!!!

Martin,
Just a though is the chassis plated, some of the photos looked very shiny?
It may be my really rubblish (ie rubbish but in a pile of broken fragments) memory
but did TVR have a display on a motor show stand with a rather pretty rolling chassis??

Glad the photos were apprieciated, afraid I haven't a photo of a blue SEAC at the 1986 Motorshow, just a silver one. And a red 420 chassis.

If it was the latter, can you imagine the reaction of the guy who was told he had the job of polishing it...
