Always surprised how few of the original "L" plates you see in south Wales.
L1 used to be the mayoral car plate for Glamorgan if I recall, and now seen in London on a Maybach. I have a"L ????" which was first registered in Maesteg in 1919, and am amazed how few others you see around, given the local history. Any spotters of L's out there?
I was only thinking of that plate about a week or so ago. Saw it a few times around the Bridgend area decades ago. Wasn't it Lord Heycock or Leycock or similar?L1 used to be the mayoral car plate for Glamorgan if I recall, and now seen in London on a Maybach.
