Just wanted to say a big thank you to the staff at bluestone resort. My wife, daughter and I have just enjoyed a very pleasant week there. The staff, accommodation, food and whole experience was first class. We also visited some surrounding areas during our stay and again, everyone's hospitality, manners and general willingness to chat made it a very nice holiday indeed.

I'm glad you had a good time; Pembrokeshire has some beautiful areas and a few nice towns about.

I'm no fan of Bluestone resort, they have gone back on many of the promises they ever made about how they'd support the local economy, and it was part funded and then bailed out (twice IIRC) for pence in the pound by the Welsh Assembly and Pembrokeshire County Council. I don't think taxpayer funds should be used to prop it up.

Still, that's only my opinion, and I am glad you had a great time there and in the area! thumbup

Interesting! I guess that's the bit they don't brag about in the brochure?! Thanks for sharing the local knowledge.

They don't bgag in the brochure that the pool is a shared facility that is open to the public either or when we went there that the heating system wasn't up to the job of proving hot showers as well as a warm pool. Our lodge was shabby and dirty. Got a large amount of money back.

I went for the first time in December.

For the price it was fine but it's nowhere near as good as Centre Parcs. You need to hire a golf buggy unless you love walking up big hills all the time which adds £140 onto your bill for the week.

The food there was really disappointing. The pub was ok but just average pub food. We also tried the Italian on our last night which was dire. Despite being quiet the food took ages and was disappointing when it arrived. They also didn't have any type of Italian food you would expect in a family resort. No pizzas at all which was odd.

We've been in the water lagoon thing today then the activity centre inc zip wire thing - kids had pizza, nothing fancy just basic but they were happy. Eat at the Chippy last night which was £30 for 4 inc Coke but was tasty inc curry sauce!
We haven't used s buggy but have worked to the minibus timetable every 30 mins.
