Anyone used a good location in south wales for some car photos?
Im selling my car and would like some half decent up to date photos, i was thinking somewhere simple like top of caerphilly mountain or the pull in on the way back from the beacons where the tea van lives.
Im in the caerphilly area but will travel, any excuse for a blast!
Any ideas would be great.

How about the layby on the B4560 between Beaufort and Llangynidr. It is about 3.5 miles from the Heads of the Valleys with a excellent view out.

Evo hairpin on the A4069 between Brynamman and Llangadog. Pretty much any castle that you can get as a back drop.

The A4560 between Beaufort and Llangynidr has several brilliant locations but the best one I think is on the east side of the hill going towards Beaufort after the Langattock turn off:

The day before yesterday

or

And last year:

and

But good light is always important – morning definitely suits the B4560 best I think and you need a little bit of sun but not too much. And try and get as natural a view as possible by using the longer settings on your camera lens; wide angle shots can look dramatic but don't flatter...

Two fantastic cars from my youth, one I lusted after the second I got to scare myself silly in. Haven't seen a Visa GTi for years. My mum ran two 105ch followed by a 115ch.

The first lay-by as you drive out of Caerphilly, going up the mountain:

Early Sunday or when it's quiet, the Castle "Tommy Cooper" car park

Or the road round the back using the castle as a backdrop:

Cardiff Bay, again preferably when quiet:

That is a great road, i will take a trip out next week. Is the best way of accessing it from the a470 beacons road?
