Hi guys,

I'm off on holidays in March, and I need to transport me, my mate (doesn't drive) snowboard and luggage to Gatwick. My cars clearly aren't for the job. (2 seaters)

I'd rather not do a bus, I hate public transport, and the flight is at 6am.

Ive been looking at car rentals, and a one way drop is just crazy prices.

Anyone got any bright ideas?

Try those taxi companies that do specific airport drop offs as they charge a fixed rate. Sometimes like at that time in the morning they can be quite decent price.

Try Paul at VIP Luxury Travel in Porthcawl 07866 524549. He does airport runs and has a nice new Merc six seater.

I've just done a one way drop off to Heathrow and it was £56 for a Focus from Alamo.

I have used Avis in Swansea a fair few times and just asked if they'd waive the one-way fee and the airport drop-off fee and they agreed. Worth asking.

Alamo "Airport Connect" seems to offer some pretty good prices.
