Is there anywhere in SOuth Wales that could de-chrome the silver window surround in my BMW 645....Think BMW call it shadow line. I know it can be done as a few people on other forums have done it...Would imagine the chrome just gets wrapped in black....Any ideas...

Thanks.....

You could use black plasti-dip spray. 2 cans should suffice. I've used it on a few bits and pieces.

Lots of guides on you tube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otCtkVePX_0

We done this to my missus mini a few years ago, basically the trim gets removed, scuffed up, primed and sprayed, in our case matt black.

We used ChipTech in Swansea which closed down a few years back. I'm pretty sure any respectable body shop would be able to do the work though.

Be careful if going down the wrapping route. I have seen the work of a few cars that I wouldn't be happy to have on my car. Chrome trim not fully covered so it leaves a very thin chrome strip showing and the vinyl being cut on the car so damaging the trim.

Thanks all.....I have found someone in Newport that comes highly recommended by a fellow 645 owner who had there whole car wrapped.....but now I have picked up my 6 series I'm starting to like the chrome so not sure if I will get it done...

Do need the wheels refurbed though so will get to the wheels specialist in Cwmbran for a quote.....Used them a few times and been very happy with the results.....but has anyone got any more recommendations....
