A little bit estatey having mapped it, but it is on the end with good access. However I rather suspect the bar is now a bit higher than the original brief... hehe

You could say that. hehe

SWMBO went to view today as drive bys. We have a favourite but not sure we can add the required garage although its well within budget to be able to do so.

Bloody estate agents can't facilitate viewings until late next week frown

There is a 3 bed semi opposite that one on for 230. Just saying.

Thanks Chris.

I can pretty much rule that out on the basis of "semi" after a previous issue with noisy neighbours.

Thanks for mentioning it though.

I was more thinking that someone above said the one on same street seemed cheap, but a 100k premium for the detached seems a lot?

Well it's similar around here in a way. 3 bed detached with garage sub 250k, 4 bed with double 350k+. I think it's a massive jump, strange market.

Don't remember seeing this one on the shortlist...

I found this property on the Rightmove Android app and wanted you to see it: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/s6p/46701865

I've a feeling this one is over budget, I forget how much your willing to bend for it.

Listed with 2 EA's on RM -

and I'm not sure again if this has been mentioned. Potential to turn the adjoining stone building to a double garage?

Thanks Ryan.

The agent told us about the first one when we were dwn a couple of weeks ago. We haven't viewed as the agent doesn't think he'll drop much and its too much for us to pay for that house in that location etc.

The second one is on the list. Absolutely NO back garden which makes it difficult to sell. The outbuilding referred to is attached to the garage which is the best option we have seen garage wise. Very tempting but resale will be difficult unless yu fond someone like me with zilch interst in gardening and 100 interest in car storage. It would need some work inside also as its a lot of money for a 3 bed with no back garden.

The third one is a good catch. Have sent it on to SWMBO for a look see. Very small development by the look of it. Do you locals think it likely St Nicolas will be absorbed into the Cardiff outskirts in a few years?

Double garage but single driveway - weird.

Unfortunately the lovely fields out the back will turn into a building site over the next few years - it's on the LDP earmarked for housing. (I remember from when we were looking). So it's a no from me.

Driveway could be two cars wide looking at google maps but as you say Kris, looks like development will happen there shortly so we'll leave it.

Once again we do appreciate your input.

Hey Ryan, don't apologise. We're all trying to find me a place hehe

Trev, the first 2 are the same property and have a huge caravan site just up the road as notice by hornetrider.

The third one is just a little too close to the airport and we really don't like the "white house estate" look.

I think you may have looked at the first one, but how about these? 2nd one doesnt have double garage though.

Its a shame about the St. Nicolas house. But its still a nice house with the double garage in a very well regarded village that is very convenient for Cardiff. Possibly have a cheeky offer if you can live with some disruption and houses behind you?
