First one gardens are very small albeit it's a nice house in a nice village. The second one is in the car park of the primary school.
If you're looking at the badlands (north of the A473! ) this is old money class but has no garage. Plenty of land and budget to build your own lovely timber framed garage to your own spec though.

This barn conversion is very nicely done and again the opportunity to build and configure your own dream garage...

Or you could rename this the Pie and Piston and have a bit of a career change! Lovely pub.

I looked at both of those online in the early days of our search. Might do a drive-by of the first one.
No way could i ever be a publican. Not because I'd drink the profits as I don't really drink much at all but the hours are horrific and trying to drag on trade in that location would be one hell of a job.

Don't know Vince as no idea where you are.
Is there a link to the house on rightmove?
There's more to it than just the garage.
We found a great house with space for 6 cars, a workshop and about an acre of ground all in our budget - but the area was not what we wanted.
Pen-y-fai. I don't know how to add the link.Is there a link to the house on rightmove?

Just highlight a link in the browser and copy and paste it into the PH thread.

Oi you lot! leave us lot north of the M4 alone! were nice folk, We've even just had running water put into the village
TT. as a 'valley local' theres some areas that hold spectacular views. But if I were in your position and requirments you'd struggle to get most of the tick boxes ticked.
I doubt I'd look much further than Pontypridd or the Porth area. beyond there your in terraced miners houses territory so garages are few and far between.
Heres a few properties around the Pontypridd area -
Creigiau - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...
close to a primary school tho.

Tonteg/Church Village - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

Efail Isaf - looks suburbia, isn't really. Mostly an area of retired/nearly retired or working all hours professionals.
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...
thats about the best I can see for now without gettign to deep suburbia or quickly built new builds.
I'm off back to work now. need to go and use all 25 fingers and toes to count stuff

Cheers Ryan. Just spent the last 5 hours driving around looking at some properties in the Valleys. some lovely places and some not so good.
I'm cancelling the viewing at the one near Port. Its a lovely property in a nice position but the driveway is near vertical and the house is on the north facing side of the valley so will be dull and dismal.
Can't find the one in Groesfaen at all. Even the locals don't recognise it.

I assume you're scouring rightmove, zoopla and onthemarket? I found the email alerts to be really handy.
Bit late to this thread eh Phil?! Anyway, have you considered auction properties TT. We've all seen Homes Under the Hammer. Seems like a fun way to buy a house!
Ryan, its this one: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...
Not sure I'm up for the gamble of buying at auction.
I thought just about all agents use Rightmove, Uf not I've been missing some opportunities.

That one is on the main road directly opposite the pub. There's a reason they haven't got a pic of the front... Changed our minds and haven't bothered viewing the Grosfaen property-cancelled the viewing.
Mrs TT is away on business for a few days so I intend to treat myself to a steak and a pint for £9.00 at the Butchers arms on Wednesday if anyone fancies joining me else I shall be sat there like Billy no mates.

I was just coming on to say that ^^ they've been quite creative with the external shots of the surrounding areas. Not entirely convinced the access to the garage is very wide either to get the TVR down there, but as its only side on shots its difficult to tell.
Also all academic now you've pulled out of it.
The mrs is out for a friends birthday meal Wednesday, but not sure exactly where. So I'll be knocking about for a bit awaiting a summoning to pick her up, so if its close to you and time allows I'd happily join you for a steak!
Have you ruled out St Athan ... not too bad a commute to the centre of Cardiff
