Fair play to Porsche Cardiff, they put on a decent spread. Lots of wine and nibbles, plenty of access to the new cars, live music and some nice gifts to bring home too.
Pistonheads got a mention in the presentation, good to know opinions here are respected in the motoring industry
A bit dark in the car park to spot Pistonheads stickers smile

Would the owner of Audi RS6 'RS06 EVS' please stop flaunting a great car with a reg plate that's ideal for the car and me!

Never looks dirty though, and always a pleasure to see the car around Bridgend.

Strange one today. Looked like an Evo 7, possibly an 8 or 9, but on a '63 plate. Far too old to be registered in 2013 surely?

Yes, 2013 is well into Evo X territory (X was introduced around 2009) however you can get some funny issues with imports, I've seen cars like that with the import year as the reg and not the date of original registration.

VED is another one, I've seen 1999 Evo VIs with VED in the post-2006 band (£400 odd) and 2007 Evos with VED in the pre-2001 bands (£200 odd). I think it is down to the way the importer fills in the paperwork, but DVLA also seem to make it up as they go along.

A friend had this problem with his imported 1995 Subaru Impreza, it was imported around 2004 so fell under the newer emissions bracket, despite after his extensive research in finding out that its emissions were better or on par with new cars in 2004 in the lower tax bracket. He spent hundreds trying to get the DVLA to correct it with no joy and when it came time to sell the car it was a nightmare to get rid of due to buyers being put off by the VED.
If I remember right, the car was eventually sold outside of the UK for way less than he wanted. And that's when he swore never to buy/import a car ever again!

Yellow McLaren 650 on Callaghan Square just now.

Looked and sounded superb and reaffirmed my view that I'd far rather one of these than a 458

I saw this (assuming it was the same one) last week some where near Cardiff East and I agreen wholeheartedly. It looked so purposeful and sounded incredible, even just crawling along!

There was a yellow Aventador SV parked in Cardiff this morning, 17 GE. My guess is that it was probably that.

I believe I saw a silver Mercedes SLS possibly AMG between Coychurch and Waterton in Bridgend today.
There was one around there about a year ago, but haven't seen it for a while. There is also a AMG GT in the area.
Saw presumably the same car twice today (it's grey), firstly in Bridgend Tesco then later driving around Porthcawl. I think it's a Mercedes AMG GT.
