Looking for a rough guide on how much I'd expect to pay for a bathroom fitting.

We've got all the bits so all that needs doing, so I'm told by a plumber I'm waiting to hear back from, is the installation of the traps/associated pipework, fitting the flexis to the sink & shower mixer and moving a radiator from one wall to another + associated pipework with that.

The mrs has gone ahead and ordered the bathroom furniture (bath/toilet/sink etc) that's being delivered next week, but she left out getting a plumber sorted before getting all the bits. We will be tiling the walls ourselves too.

Or if anyone has recommendations for plumbers in the Valleys area, or a Plumber yourself and fancy earning a bit of coinage and a crate of beer?

Best advice I could give you, would be to go in to a local merchants. (There is a City Plumbing branch in Trefforest Industrial Estate) and ask the staff there for some recommendations.

Up until a month ago, I was a self employed plumber, so could have helped! I don't know anyone up your neck of the woods to recommend though.

Cheers Rickyy. Had the mrs made the decision when she originally decided to revamp the bathroom I'd have taken you up on the offer.

Our usual plumber, only used him for small jobs until now, has now finally got back to us with a quote of £430 for installation and everything associated, I think that's a good price so she's trying to sync schedules to get it done.
I just hope he's better at doing the work than getting back to customers rofl

Just seen this Ryan I'm from Trealaw only I'm busy for about 2 weeks, that seems an ok price for one in one out with some materials I would be around the £450 mark without looking ,prob more as we'd be talking about cars and the job will take twice as long. smilesmile ,if your plumber lets you down pm me,
Ps if you want to see my work go and see Clive. In the Barn conversion we done in Ferndale by your inlaws .

Cheers Eski

Eski! I was racking my brains who the other plumber on here was other than Rickyy and I just couldn't place it!
Glad to know his price is decent too. Never had work of this nature before so was working on ballpark figures. I'll let you know if your services are required, trying to lock him in on a date to start, and how long it should take to complete, so I know if I need to make arrangements to stay at the in laws

wavey Hi Rickyy, got Dave Dawes in doing a downstairs wet room, he had you down for the plumbing work, but of course you`re not self employed now. How`s the MX ? Our Lee has had a turbo put on his and it`s a real flyer now, a great drive and very responsive.

Small world, Steve! He did mention he had a job lined up for me! I'll have to have a look at his Mazda at the next meet, although I probably shouldn't as I'll more than likely want to do the same to mine!

Hi Esk. Not had a pm either. Bizzare!?

My mail is (not sure of the PH rules so remove the gaps and put required @ and .) c c f c 1 9 2 7 at hot mail co uk

I've got an old football friend who's just started his own business coming round tomorrow late afternoon for a quote also, as the original plumber said he now can't do it!
Would be good to get a quote off you too either for the full job or just the radiator move. But if you've too much on don't put yourself out.

Cheers Ryan
