Evening courses - car maintenance

Hi all, anyone know of evening courses for basic car maintenance somewhere between Newport and Port Talbot. Bridgend area preferred.

I'm not looking to become a mechanic but it would be good to learn and practice things like fluid and filter changes, brakes and cambelt changes.

I'm not near you but I did a course like this in my local college. Maybe have a look there. Other than that the best advise I can give is watching things like Mighty Car Mods and other youtube stuff to teach yourself.

Cheers, I have tried a couple of local colleges but it looks like council cut backs are limiting adult learning courses. Where did you do yours and was it recent?

I've thought about youtube etc but would rather practice on someone else's car before ruining mine!

Bridgend college ran courses a few years ago, not sure if they still do.

It doesn't look like iť sadly. There have been major cut backs in adult education. Looks like I've missed the boat.

Mine was easily 8 years ago. Was in Coleg Ceredigion in Cardigan.
