Been looking at rural house prices in Lincolnshire and it's quite a bit cheaper than Cambs where we live now. So where's the best semi rural areas to live, and the areas to avoid ? Not looking as far a North Lincolnshire really.

It has, I don't know the south of the county well but I am familiar with the areas round Lincoln as lived here all my life. I am biased but I love it myself, house prices are not crazy and decent roads but being the area it is there is less going on than others of course

Yeah i'd say Boston is not a fantastic area myself, could get a decent area but might not. As for internet coverage anywhere rural in Lincolnshire is not going to be great really, it's one of the worst counties for coverage short of highlands of scotland and the likes

We live about 10miles east of Newark so Nottinghamshire really (tuxford) much cheaper than Nottingham itself and love it. We also get high-speed bt fiber so all is good.

Worth a look around that area, easy access to Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire being close to both the A1 and M1.

The villages around Sleaford/Bourne/Grantham are mostly lovely although house prices are on the rise because of the ease in getting to London (1 hour from Grantham to Kings Cross). Ours has doubled in value since 2008.

We are in a rural village about 10 minutes off the A52 east of Grantham and we've had fibre for the last six months. We're getting 50+ Mbps down / 12+ Mbps up. There is a real effort to improve broadband in the county, driven by a county council project to give 89% of Lincolnshire superfast broadband with the rest getting a minimum of 2Mbps.

We moved here in early 2008, just before the financial crisis, and wouldn't want be anywhere else. Great to look out of the window and see fields in every direction smile

Stay west of the A15 in the southern part of the county if you don't want lots of flat land though ....
