Transporting car

Hey all,

Anyone got any recommendations for transporting a car (VXR8) from Merthyr to Oxford?

It's not currently drivable, so needs to be on trailer/flat bed.

Had a quote from recovery companies that made my head spin. Looking into hiring a van and trailer myself.

Anyone got any other ideas or can recommend companies/people?

What cost are we talking? I need delivery from Merthyr Vale to Chipping Norton.

Best quote Ive had is for £140 all in.

Car can't be started but does roll. It's a large saloon.

Man with trailer needed 2 - can anyone who's able to wheel a very large car from Cardiff to Crewe kindly PM me. Had a couple of quotes but the stumbling block seems to that I need to actually travel with the car and arrive with it.

I got my car shipped, without me needing to go with it, Merthyr to oxford, for £140. 120 miles I think.

Guy was fully insured and sent me proof of delivery pics.

It's like an auction. Free to use too. You put in what car, when, from where and to where and people bid. You then choose which one you like. And pay them via website.

All very professional.

I tried that mate - on my responses just mobile phone numbers and low level insurance cover (if any)... Risky. Cheers anyway.
