Think ive seen this vehicle aswell. i think its a royal/diplomatic protection vehicle. seen car with same description last week when charlie was visiting the valley. there was also a black VW transporter with blacked out window and also a silver 5 series with it. FZZ was the last 3 letters on it i think. the lights in the grille were the least inconspicous ive ever seen aswell.

there's also a black octavia VRS around aswell. seen in abercynon. no reg. I didnt see it, but my boss got pulled by it.

Not unmarked but they were out in force (forgive the pun) today, bike on the roundabout junc. 34, 2 cars on the slip road guess the bike on the bridge had a gun and the 2 on the slip road were pulling speeders,
Also on the cardiff link road on the way into cardiff see 2 pulling a astra 1 marked 1 unmarked (black vectra), also on the way back from culverhouse seen 2 wierd cameras on the bridge and a bike and car parked up just after the long straight, one waiting at the roundabout at the end of the link road joining m4 and 1 was going round towards services......... babylon everywhere..

I read a article in the paper they need to increase thier quoter for speeding, tax, insurance and m.o.t offenders.. so keep a look out coz they on a mision by the looks of today anyways.

Yes they were, the llantrissant junction off ramp to the m4 had 3 parked together lying in wait, then a strange setup at the m4 / a4232 services where they had drive in type booths and there were plenty of police there, was like a PH meeting but for the Police!

There were three ANPR cameras on the bridge at Llanharan going east and they were waiting at 34 to pull the naughty people into services. Didn't see any cameras coming west.
Plain clothes 3 series estate in a silvery blue was one of the three at 34

Deffo an ANPR setup. If anybody saw the police documentary on BBC1 a few days ago they showed an identical setup that they did at the Severn Bridge tolls a year or two ago. Good place to do it really, anybody who tries to avoid the checks/run will be immediately noticable and probably wouldn't get too far.

So mess up, why don't they concentrate on real criminals. I bet if they stood outside a Cash generator type place we would not loose many Stereos,Sat Navs, etc.

Why don't they just put bloody limiters on our cars next! vomit

Along with voluntary castration and enbuggerement, for the good of the country!

Got to disagree with you here, they are doing their job. Keeping people who don't tax / insure or MOT cars off the roads are something we should all be pleased with, if for only one reason - there will be less cars out there in out way drivingbiggrin

And our insurance premiums will come down, not just that i've been hit by someone without insurance got it sorted in the end but was a real pain to sort out, that's another story. want i don't agree with is the amount of resorces they put into catching motorists when it could be put to better things, an old woman got robbed local to me and it took the plod 30 mins to get there probably on the motorway pulling people speeding???????????

I am sure that if we had more coppers on foot they could go into certain ares of Cardiff and do a spot check of vehcles parked on the road and have those crush.

Don't they say in their adverts that they already know which ones don't have tax?

I agree with getting them off the road, better yet have them confiscated and sold and donate the money to a worthy cause. cancer Research for example, rather than new speed cameras.

Cheers,

Ary

27 -Subaru Legacy saloon, in dark blue or black. Reg MM55.
Can't be certain but I think this one tried to get me to "play" on the M50 yesterday, I was doing a fairly constant speed but the other car's behaviour was very odd, often keeping just behind me in the outside lane, then overtaking and then slowing up so I overtook, then going past me very fast then slowing up again.

I have had people positioning themselves to get a good look\listen to the Griff before but this went on for about 10 miles.

Didn't note the Reg however.

bit of a odd one here, seen the navy blue volvo S60 reg CN08 AVP, in Hutchigs vauxhall in tonteg. but isnt this a gwent police car. There was a copper in it. This does lead me to think that that forces are swapping unmarked cars around not to let on to people that they are police cars. Obviously, they aint found this forum yet.
