today i saw a convoy on the m4 with the usal marked 3 series and audi, aswell as a MK3 focus estate in silver, dark blue and a sliver merc vitos, no plates was on the opposite side.

seen an even odd-er one yesterday A470 northbound towards Coryton, driver training BMW;s 2 and 5 series, what looked like a gwent marked S80, then a unmarked standard focus, unmarked Hyundai i30, and 2 others which i cant remember what, all cars were dark in colour, with lights in grille. looked very odd indeed.

Slightly off topic, anybody else noticed the number of vans being escorted around the area recently? There have been a number coming through Bridgend recently, guessing they are moving prisons as there are at least three traffic cars escorting the van, and they don't stop for trafic lights etc.

A mate also saw a black Merc van with blue lights being escorted on the M4 on Tuesday, traffic cars in front, each side and behind with two other traffic cars behind, making sure nobody got to close.

yeah ive heard these are armed officers in the merc vans,

above on the a470 saw 2 marked beemers block the slip road onto the a470 from j32 was very odd

Legally obliged to fit but not legally obliged to be switched on IIRC.

Interesting one down west this afternoon, dark coloured Volvo XC60 near Tenby. Two up and not hanging about.

Generally yes. Makes it a bit difficult to sneak about at night with DRL's on.

Likely wrong on the number - saw it in my mirror on Malpas Road (Newport) today in the traffic.

Also saw a white A6 avant flying up Malpas Road (Newport) this evening. Again, something like a 10 / 60 plate.

Seems to be a few unmarked X5's around the gwent and south wales area. Last week seen a Dark coloured one on A470 with lights going, then same day seen a similar coloured one which plate was something like CN62 DCF, then today there was a white one on the M4 at Margam with a Marked 3 series and what looked like one of the Gwent marked S80's. there seems to be a lot of driver training going on on the M4 lately so guessing this is the reason for the various cars from other forces in the area.

Anyone else seen these?

Four marked traffic cars being followed along the A48 by an unmarked white X5, yesterday. Doing about 40mph past Margam Village, thought it was odd as it is a NSL on that stretch.

Saw them doing similar on the Cardiff Link road yesterday morning and the White X5 had a flashing red slow down sign in rear window, was odd.

They come and go out of Neptune Court a few times a week.
