Had no reply from Mike. Met the guy with the Rumble Bee today. He's also got an M3 convertible but can't make it tomorrow although it's another member for SWACC and he'll try and make the next meeting.

I'm still happy to come but I'm ill so try not to contract the lurgy from me unless you need time off work. A few hours on the garage floor fitting a shifter didn't help. LOL.

WOW !!!! That was a lot of fun. Thanks to all of you who came along.
Sorry i didn't sort the pub (will do better next time), although, the one we found was good. Shame about Wayne and Richies napkin tricks, and the jokes were no better. It was a shame that the traffic was so heavy, at least we managed to give the cars a good thrashing every now and then !!

Wayne, your Mustang sounded great, you've got me beat there mate, but at least i didn't disgrace myself !! DID I ??

The day seemed to be mostly SWACC, Lets have a few more PHers next time.
Cheers
Chris

Well Chris, if it's any consolation, my foot was hard down too although I was driving off the roundabouts in 3rd. I think only Steve was monitoring the speed though. Good drive. Enjoyed it.

Any pictures guys? What route did you take and what cars were present?

Sorry I missed this one - work is the curse of the drinking classes!

It was a limited show, Chris in his Griffith, Elise 111, BMW Z3 Roadster, MX5, Camaro Z28, Corvette Z06, Pontiac Trans Am and my Mustang. Since Chris set the pace, we kept losing people especially at the end when there was an academic point of interest to determine between muscle and power and lightness and power. We went up through Hirwaun over the Beacons and to Crickhowell for lunch but several cars went in widely differing directions at one point and it pretty much stayed that way then. Too many dithering Easter plodders to keep the cars together.

Wayne, I came of most of the roundabouts in 3rd as well. I seemed to stay with you until I changed up, but then you pulled away. MOST IMPRESSIVE mate, you got a beast there !!!!!. Was Steve watching the speed, or was it that he just couldn't keep up ??

Datasafe, we went up the A470, turned left to Aberdare, then over the top to the resevoirs on the A470, down to Breacon and onto the A40 to Abergavenny (Via pub). Back through Pontypool and Cwmbran, M4 to Cardiff. Some Great roads, just a little to much traffic. A great run though.

Good day had by all. Weather just about held it together but shame about the flocking hoards of MPVs and Rovers...
Interesting mix of cars....half the time I couldnt tell when to change up cos the only thing I could hear was a blaring V8 in front or behind me! Got me thinking tho...I seem to have got the raw deal on Rover engines...

Badapple - I presume you were refitting the wind deflector on the way to Abergavenny, kinda looked like you were putting your arm around Gareth for a moment there. Sorry about my deafening brakes, lightest car in the group (by rather a significant margin in some cases!) and the only one to struggle with pads - embarassing!

See ya all next time

Jamie - Elise

Steve logged a 130 units of Newtonian logarithmic tensions between one set of roundabouts here we were the only vehicles present. Having a HUD helps. He's been quiet about the effort he was putting in but from my tour of Wales in my Z06 last year, I'm pretty sure the Z06 would be faster if only because the brakes don't fade to lettuce and it doesn't squirrel under power. Got to get those shocks and springs fitted.

It was fun. The journey home was best as we got up to some good speeds.

I hope next time there's more cars with us and less traffic to battle through.
