and the filling issue which Total doesn't have with the Mustang.
What's that then
Most petrol pumps have way too sensitive cut-offs on the nozzles. The Mustang has two fuel tanks joined by a narrow "saddlebag" connector so pressure builds up in the first tank and you get the "constant cut-off" meaning that at Shell in pentwyn, it can take 20 minutes to get in 20 litres. TOTAL garages don't seem to have this problem and the Mustang fills in express time without even a click.
What a pain in the neck - I don't suppose pumps in the states are as sensitive as ours.
I've stopped going to Shell in Pentwyn in the evening 'cos it's like going through the monkey enclosure at Longleat, if you stop for more than two mins you get half a dozen little urchins picking bits off your car.
Well sadly Tesco won't be getting my business.I went to Western Avenue this morning and it began. Click...click...click....click...grrrr....grrrr...click....click. Anyway. £18 later and trying to trickle the stuff in, the pump shut itself down. FFS! So thanks Tesco and stick your nozzle cut-offs where it don't shine as I'll be reverting to Total filling stations where I can actually get the damn petrol in!
It was 93.9 a litre so that nearly got me to work.....
