Bit of an odd one.

Am looking for a company to shotblast & then re-paint or powdercoat my hi-fi rack. Unfortunately it has been sat in the attic for far too long and there is a small amount of corrosion that I'd like gone.

Anyone have any recommendations please? Am in Bury but am happy to travel.

TIA.

Speak to Ian at T&B Gorse Industrial estate just outside Thetford - Tell him Ian (Monzaman) sent you his way - he'll sort you out

Units 68-71/Gorse Ind Est, Thetford IP24 2PH
01842 890777

PS be really specific about the finish you require right up front - that's the key biggrin

I don't bother trying to strip and repaint stuff anymore just give it to Ian and tell him what I want

It's a car forum so relevant car pics

I use Suffolk Stove Enamelers based near Woodbridge.

Had loads of odd bits done and always competitive on price.

I'd recomend Maldon too, it's who I always use. Speak to Trevor the owner, I've got a price list he unofficialy gave me, printed out and in my garage.

Thanks chaps.

Any advantage of powder coating vs paint? It's not as if the rack is going to venture outside. Just want something hard wearing that will stand up to the odd knock or two.

I think powder coating will take the knocks better than paint but not so easy to repair. Can be done with the raw powder and a hot knife though..

Get it chromed that would look kind of retro. these radiator pipes had 4" cut out of them before being welded back together and chromed.

it.s actually chrome powder coat, but look like the real thing. not cheep but cheeper than chrome.
