Hi Dylan, I have just punched in the route and its telling me approx 1hr 20 mins to the meeting point.

So i reckon to meet around 08:00, and leaving 08:15 at the latest.
That will give you, including anybody else, a 15 minute window.

How does that sound.
Hi guys, definitely on for a meet up at Ipswich tesco at 8am, do the drive through to A1/A14 Huntingdon roundabout quite a lot to my folks in midlands, quite a drag from Ipswich to Cambridge and average speed cameras all the way from Ipswich side of Cambridge to Huntingdon.

Know the fuel station and truck park next to it quite we'll, see you both there at 8am and anyone else?

Mark
Good Evening

I will be coming up from Saffron Walden and will also be going up the A14 - bit of a long shot logistically but when do you think you will hit the top of Cambridge where the M11 meets the A14? (Girton/BarHill area) I will try and aim to be in that area at a similar time and join you guys if that’s alright- can’t imagine there will be more than 1 convoy with your mix of cars on that road at the same time so I should spot you. ( As it is average cameras I may even be able to keep up!)

Cheers

Alex

Darren,

It looks like my sleep patterns are going to prevent my attendance, so you can let
Dave take my place...

Darren - another late arrival if you can work your magic on another pass? (987 Boxster with a new Remus exhaust). No worries if not!
...this is hugely frustrating and it's a great shame because I was really looking
forward to seeing Alex's new car and the job that Peter and Mark had done on it.
Just one of the things I have to live with, with this d*****d disability frown

Steve

Unfortunately yes. There are a few in the roadworks around the top of Cambridge then permanent ones all the way from Camridge to Huntingdon. There are a few alternative routes that miss them that are interesting in parts however.

agreen, In answer to your original question:
According to Google there is a crematorium just after the M11/A14 junction. Street View shows a nice lay-by that you could park up at, giving you a good view in the rear-view for our convoy. It will also give us a chance to see you too so we can slow down in order for you to hop on the back.

I would say tigerzetec will be at the front, driving a bright green Focus (please correct me if I am wrong TZ) and we should get to you about 09:15.

Thanks Darren, see you Sunday.

TigerZetec - I'd be up for joining you for the run up to the meeting point if that's ok? I'll be heading from Southend, so the Ipswich Tesco is about an hour from me.

Hi Dave, I am joining the A12 at J26. (Eight Ash Green) If you like we can head to Ipswich to meet up with tigerzetec together? If you jump off the A12 at J26 and turn left towards Eight Ash Green, I will be waiting in a small lay-by in a 911. Let me know if that works for you.

Dylan.

Sounds good - I am familiar with the lay-by. It can often be full of lorries although it should be quieter on a Saturday. If I can’t get in there I will be a mile or 2 up the road by the BP garage - not that great visibility wise for you guys but I should have time to spot you and catch up. I will be in a dark grey GTI.

Cheers

Hi Dylan,

Sounds good - what time shall we meet there (in order to meet with TigerZetec in time)?

07:30 should do the trick. We are a tad under 30 minutes from where tigerzetec will be waiting.

I will email you my number as well in case your running late

No probs, although, if i'm in front.......

firstly, i will have fit my camera facing the rear and secondly, we will all end up lost

Hi Darren,

Bit of boring question but is it worth bringing a chair or something to such events or does everyone just mill about?

Cheers

Alex
