Aux was there last month in his Datsun pick up. This could turn into an RR reunion.

It'd be great to catch up with Aux again. I've seen that Datsun pickup on the road and I know who imports them, but I didn't realise it was his.

I presume it's OK to bring youngsters? My 8yr old son is keen to come, on the basis that there might be Porsches etc. I've tried to teach him my way, but he seems more interested in sports/supercars for some reason...

Are you taking passengers? I'm bringing my gear (and the Mx5) in case there are any spaces left. Although I am arriving late smile

ETA: I won't be driving as i've left my licence at home. Doh!

Ended up going in the end. Saw Gary leaving as I got there then Rob on track but nowhere to be seen once parked up.

Anybody go get a cheeky look at the LMP car?

Hello Folks,

Well, the tungy grey thing made it there, and back, almost without incident.
I didn't take many pctures, though it was nice to see other R5s there.
There was a really nice black R5 Gordini, which won the Kleers Competition
but I didn't have my camera to hand.

This beautifully turned-out Vauxhall with its Lotus engine stole the
show for me though! Who would have thought that they had launch-control
fitted back in 1991?

All in all, a good little trip out for the car after its extended rest.
Will probably take the Coupé next month...

Regards,
Steve

Thanks for the nice comments - I can see the stone chips in the picture very clearly so you are being way too kind as far as it's presentation goes

Yeah and it's not launch control in the true sense of the work - it doesn't help with traction at all - rather screws it up TBH - it just gives more boost for 30 secs - but it's little known fact (apart from LC/LO owners)

I made it there late after getting stuck in traffic in the outside lane of the A47 with just about no fuel.

And a few photos.

I popped along in my little Imp for the first time certainly surprised in the diversity of the cars there. Next time I'll try and remember to give it a wash beforehand.
