PHEA Roadshow: Classic & Sports Cars by the Lake - 31st Aug
Discussion
Great day, and was nice to get a chance to meet and chat to several. Every car on the stand looked fantastic.
Donated some smoke and rubber on the way out which seemed to go down well. Credit to the organisers for allowing people to see and hear the cars leaving in this way safely.
Thanks Darren

Any pics or video of the leavers burning rubber?!......was worried about the power oversteer turning into an unexpected u turn?!
I was a little cautious when I left as I was in a 6litre V12 with cold tyres and did't want to end up on You Tube for the wrong reasons!!My other half was in the SL380, apparently she did floor it but nobody noticed!!
Thank you to everyone who joined the PHEA Stand to make another excellent display at a tremendous show in wonderful weather!
Great variety, new faces, some usual suspects and returning members, it was enjoyable to see you all for our last Roadshow outing of 2014.
to those PHers I saw about the show, but not on the stand
I had the opportunity to chat with everyone, although please don't take it personally if I didn't get to have a decent chat with you on this occasion
My day started great, having a blast down to the meeting point with Paul is his white Porsche Turbo and my brother is his, er, white Porsche Turbo!
The show itself just gets better and better, always helped by sunny weather. So much to see in a relatively small space, quality was also superb!
All this considered, I had another great day out with you all. No doubt, we will return!
My photos will be uploaded soon, and will of course be linked here when that's done.
Again, thank you all for bringing out your pride and joy to support PHEA
While that is it for the Roadshows this year, we still have plenty going on before the year is up!
Next is our annual Late Summer Run, details for which will be posted VERY soon.
Furthermore, I plan to hold a visit or two before Christmas, so please watch this space
See you all again soon!
Darren

Great photos Darren!!Yes Darren the engine is a aluminium performance derived version of a truck engine design (what a truck engine!) but Lambo engineers helped the conversion from truck engine to super car.
Did you know the alloy block was cast and magnafluxed in England by a company that also cast McLaren's Formula 1 V10 etc?
Can it be right that all of these cars followed on from that old cast iron truck engine!?

Great to see everyone after a bit of a hiatus - my apologies to all for being so quiet recently, I have been very much snowed under with work!
This is all good though, as hopefully one day I'll have something nice of my own again!
Anyone know anyone who got videos of the exits? I did exit the venue in the correct manner.... I think...
