An PHer's in the NR16, 17 & 18 areas ?

Which mobile network are you using. As a newly returned Norfolk Boy I'm finding Vodafone's rural coverage a bit lacking.

Before signing up with 3 or EE for two years thought I'd ask which network is the least frustrating.

Any thoughts?

3 have a coverage map on their website which I've found to be pretty accurate, would be worth having a look at that.

O2 here in NR18 is not too bad but signal drops off occasionally.

Nr16 is awful on all networks. I've found EE much better overall than O2 in Norfolk.

Thank you all very much for the speedy replies.

Clearly we were a bit spoiled in our last place.

Looks like EE for home phone and wifi and mobile, CB for local stuff plus Morse key for emergencies.

Cheers,
Whatty

I am in the NR17 area (Attleborough) and on O2, my son is on EE. Both have good and bad coverage depending on where you are. I can get 1 bar on signal strength in my house, no reception in the back garden but 100 yards up theroad I can have full signal.

Mobile signal in a rural area is always very hit & miss. Head north towards Hingham or Dereham and you might as well have a bean can and a bit of string. There is a very large dead zone in that area on O2

At risk of beating my own drum again, have you asked the your operator for a femtocell?

Hi Mr Monkey Boy

Thanks for the info - we went the EE route and are now growing accustomed to roaming the neighbourhood in search of bar's.

Good reception at the Green Dragon & Feathers in Wymondham , ditto the Mulberry Tree and the Griffin in Attleborough laugh

Always get a good reception at those watering holes and typically those are the 4 I usually frequent (when I am allowed out to play)
