Jet car crash: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWu8OuHTJ6c
Don't know what was going on here, I'm guessing the engine got stuck at full throttle, could have been very serious.

Event definitely has lots of potential going forward, agree that the weather certainly didn't help. Hopefully it'll get more trade stands and show cars once established.
I agree plenty of potential - I was more interested in the older car content - lots of EVO's going bang bang on the gear shifts chucking flames on the overun and soot out everywhere else is not really my cup of tea but it was supposed to have a bit of a retro content and I like older cars.So confession I've really never been a "Ford Guy" but having spent some time in Garage 2 I really wanted to get some pictures of this
what's hiding in there
2400cc V8
So nicely finished and detail work every where you look
More like that would be great IMO
First part of my photos can be found Here for a track sessions slide show 240 pics
I didn't do many static shots of cars parked up and I was mainly concentrating on improving my panning technique and playing with camera settings so some are a bit "odd"
Photos taken from pit lane wall (yes I know - shhhhhh) Approach to Murrays and onto main straight
Some ones I was pleased with as a taster
Fast Eddy out in front and that's where he stayed till he started lapping cars!!!
Warning Diversity (not the bloody dance troop) but car diversity
Lada at speed
Metro on 10 inches (BMW DOHC motorcycle head, cam belts and throttle bodies)
Several minis all going the right direction some doing ker-chish noises
Cheeky slide (GR8 4 drifting) RB25 with a exhaust driven hoover
look behind you
when photographing larger cars less zoom is better
Brick Volvo stripped out drift car - (cos hux could)
Not sure who was overtaking who - the metro had the edge I reckon
Tidy - very tidy and more my cup of tea
Luego Viento V8 (hope I've spelt both right)
I'll chuck up a link to the time attack cars when I get chance they were mainly taken on the big long corner before murrays that I always forget what it's damn name is - don't tell me I'll only forget it again - I'll remember eventually

Here is a link all about that Mk1 escort http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17390... the body's were made across the road from the track, in that little industrial estate.
