Wheel balancing - having a nightmare

I recently had my all 4 tyres changed on my M3, and the place I got them done (ATS Holt) did a terrible job balancing them. So I tried Tyre Pros across the road who managed to do a better job. However I'm still getting a very slight wobble around the 70 mark.

Anyone recommend somewhere in North Norfolk than can actually accurately balance tyres for sports car/low profile tyres?

If you still have vibrations after balancing I would say you probably have a tyre uniformity issue. Might be worth looking at getting the wheel and tyre assemblies checked.

Thumbs up for Auto-test in Norwich. Really happy with the alignment they did on my M3.

Thing is before I had them changed I had no issues. I do have a very very small play (left to right) in the front right wishbone, but it that was an issue surely that would of been an issue with the old tyres?

Also the second place I went to said the 'balanced' wheels were 10 grams out one side and 15 the other!!! so I just don't trust these machines (or the operator).

It is Autotest we use in Norwich for track car alignment.

First thing...having no issues before...you have fitted new tyres. The new tyres may not be uniform in roundness or stiffness. It happens a lot.

Secondly...tyres go out of balance when you use the car...due to either further seating of the bead or simply the weight of the vehicle...10 g is not unusual. It would have to be a very sensitive vehicle to feel vibrations from 10 g.

Finally...call a garage with road force balancing equipment. Make an appointment, ask if you can arrange it so you can drive straight onto the lift...no parking outside before tyres are measured, not even 5 minutes. Drive for at least 30 minutes to warm the tyres and remove flat spots before you turn up at garage.

You will find the source of your vibration. 80 N or more should make you concerned. I've measured tyres with 400 N.
