Fewer than on a regular track day, as the circuit swallows them. I did one of my first TDs at Marham and thoroughly enjoyed it. Loads of track width. You won't have any problems

Hi guys, I have a couple of questions for the more experienced trackdayers. I'm seriously considering attending this event but it is over 20 years since I have done a track day and I'm obviously a bit rusty but my questions are more around the car and wear and tear. As it will be my first event for a long time I wouldn't kick the arse out of the amount of time spent on track, probably 2-3 laps at a time. How harsh is the surface on tyres at Marham? I have just the one set and the car is quite heavy ('99 Corvette) and it goes without saying that I will ensure the brakes are up to the job.

As the event itself, how 'aggressive' are other drivers at track days? When I did them before most people were fine but there was always the minority element who wanted to race door to door, is this still the case?

Thanks in advance.
Hi Colin,
The track is fairly grippy as it isn't a normal road, but most people drive there (and back ;-)) with only the set of tyres they arrive with and are fine! If you arrive with a decent set of tyres, you'll be more than able to drive back on them.

Regarding aggressive driving, we want the weekend to be pleasurable to all, so whilst rubbing might be racing for BTCC, we do not take kindly to this sort of thing as it increases the likelihood of an accident and the event is about enjoying your car not someone sat right up your chuff! If you are faster, overtake, simple as! :-) Anyone driving deliberately dangerously will be black flagged.

Regards,
Track Day Team.

Thank you, the size of the circuit does appeal. Just out of interest how many cars are usually on the track at any time?
Thanks QBee. We allow up to approximately 50 cars max, but as has been said, the track is very wide (50 metres wide for the most part) that you will always have room, and because it's an open track, we can space people out around the course so you get freedom to navigate the corners without being in the middle of a melee!

Regards,
Track Day Team.

As said before there is normally no more than 50 (max)cars as not every one is on at the same time. This is a normal amount for any UK track day but most tracks are around 2 miles long and ours is around 4 miles long. This equates to roughly 12 cars per mile of track which isn't many at all.
Marham is a great starter track for the track day novice or an experienced driver who wants something different. With wide run offs leading to grass and nothing more than a cone to knock down should your talent run dry and friendly advice in the pits, you will feel more confident after attending this event.

Paypal threw a right wobbly - now I seem to be in situation where I can't get back to my application and it won't let me start a new one......

Can you reset an entry or ping me a payment request based on the entry details

Hi team

Do you want a heads up put out on any other BBs/forums?

I can pop it into the MG forums for Sprites and Midgets if you like

We might get a few players from there
