Just noticed that fire extinguishers are on the kit list. Are these a 'must have' or is it optional?

Edited to add: just seen they are 'essential' - off to Argos I go!
Yes mate they are essential. Doesn't need to be huge! Please carry it in the glove box or somewhere accessible, not in the boot please.

It will certainly be dry! Hopefully sunny too.
We have about 40 cars booked each day so it is quieter, but that means more room on track and more food from the hog roast van!! :-)

TYRE FITTER:

A few people are askjng about a tyre fitter, and we had one until about 2 hours ago! I've tried to source another but it's looking very slim I'm sorry to say. I did try! :-/

Nowhere near... However the red Nova did pass its MOT an hour ago so it's Plan A for me. I don't really have enough tyres for the weekend though so it's still possible that Plan B Skoda Favorit might get wheeled out for Sunday. I'm reasonably confident that the Nova now has its full complement of power too (er, all 98bhp) rather than the 70 odd it was making when we put it on the dyno at Marham a couple of years ago.
Hope everyone else is fairing well; well done with the cones - we'll try to make sure you get all 1000 back in one piece rather than a few hundred and some bits.

I would but.....

totally standard, so only 260 bhp (with a following wind) and I have just put a new set of Uniroyal Rainsport 3s on it. I need some tread left next week!!

Can I invite a late spectator, or is it too late for that?

Not a biggie either way

No spectators.... They are either passengers or co-drivers and paid for at £10 a head or "support" where there is no charge but they cannot go out on track at all.

You are probably too late for all of the above bearing in mind security checks but that's what I think not what I know

He's another TVR owner, so I would make him a co-driver, but I have only just heard that he is in Norfolk for the weekend.
Not to worry, I did read the thread where it said registration needed to be done by last Sunday for security reasons.

Send Rob a message via the website....We will try our best!! But yes he will need to be booked as a passenger to go on track.

The track is now done.... Some straight and plenty of twisty stuff which is a bit naughty in places!! If there isn't something for everyone I'll eat my hat! :-)

LL the boys have pulled a blinder on this one!!

Lexus was still doing dad's taxi duties earlier this evening, taking the kids to swimming club and collecting a takeaway for tea. It's pretty much ready after some fettling by the garage last week and some exhaust bodging by me, just got to nip out and chuck the spare tyres etc into it. I'm not sure whether I'll be able to do as many miles in it as I did with the Camrys in previous years, but I just couldn't miss out!

Trackday team, I need to catch up with one of you and make arrangements for my passenger to be admitted onto site partway through the day as he can't be there first thing.

Thanks to all in anticipation of a great weekend!

Spottedlaurel ; your guest will need the safety brief and sighting lap so either ask for Foz, Swanny or Buncey.
