I hope this is run this Spring as last year was excellent, hoping for mid to late May.

Mid to late May would suit me too, I have a fixture build up in early May smile

I've just gotten around to taking the shaft off of the car to replace the CV boot I split before the lunch break. The makeshift repair it ran for the afternoon appears to have held up well and kept the grit out. In fact, the mix of gaffer tape, self fusing tape and the heat from the downpipe appears to have formed a new impenetrable material. Took about 30 minutes to cut through it! I might patent it.

But we all know that gaffer tape fixes everything permanently. I don't even see why you felt the need to cut it off...

Maybe I should have gaffer taped up the radiator on my TVR on the Sunday morning, when it was pissing water onto the pits concrete due to stone damage the previous dat, instead of heading off to get it fixed - a £400 recore......scratchchin

I've no idea what I was thinking. It's a bit like trying to remove a component with anything other than a hammer and a set of mole grips wink

We'd better keep our fingers crossed - saw in a local free rag that KL & District Motor Club's Charity Stages Rally for 2016 has been cancelled due to noise complaints from local residents.

cheers

Blimey - there's all of about 6 houses out that way.

Does the sound carry more in other directions? Because on the last track day I couldn't hear the cars out on track from the pits.

Does the noise carry more than an operational RAF station?!??

Many thanks to Spottedlaurel for sending this across (and someone for filming it)

10 minutes shot from the venerable Lexitank!

Cars spotted (excuse me if I get anything wrong / miss anything)

MK Focus RS
Subaru Chavwagon
Barbie's convertible
The mental-cornering Nova
Holden (with an LS?)
Green Rover
And a few cars in the pits....

Thanks Konan! My friend Baz on camera duties, sorry it's not exactly professional but it was just to give my son a flavour of what the day is like as he's too young to be allowed to come along.

I've filtered through quite a bit of track footage before now and it's actually quite refreshing watching it from a handheld cam. Actually gives you a feeling for cornering forces that's sometimes lost in a fixed camera!

Thanks for sharing that video! I was driving the Focus RS. I cleaned it the day after and put it back in the garage and it hasn't moved (other than rolling back and forth to stop the tyres flat spotting) since. Time to get it out again soon though.

Was a really fun day. Well organised and a good mix of cars in attendance - glad to see the dates for the next one have been announced!
