Maybe now is the time to add that if you're doing this for the very first time, there are a few of us who offer informal tuition. We are all very experienced drivers and tutors and can offer anything from a few passenger laps to see where the best "lines" are, through to a "start from scratch" sort of thing.

I shall be in the paddock with a big blue Holden V8 - just come and say hello and we'll sort you out from there.

Stuart
I think we will give you a mention during the driver brief, so the inexperienced know who to look for smile and after many years of seeing the blue beast im yet to go for a lap or two in it so that will have to change wink
Its been here for many years, and the Opel Evo before it - i think i'm the only remaining driver who's been to every one of these trackdays. Certainly the most enjoyable event in the season - one to come back to every time. Or to put it another way, I've maybe driven 10,000 miles on your runway, screwed close on 100 tyres and used certainly 5000 litres of fuel.

Gents, there was a small bug in the code I've had to iron out, apologies! I believe this is now repaired and the site should accept bookings and payment.

For information on costs, please see this link.

Soooo glad to see this back on the calendar....

Unfortunately the Sunbeam is still in lots of parts since the last one and probably going up for sale in near future and I'm away on holiday that week anyway!

Hope the day is well supported and if there is anybody hesitating in attending....

Don't

Just pay the £xx and go and have a brilliant relaxed day out exploring your car's limits with like minded people and all for a good cause.

Time limit: yes there is as we need to pass details to the RAF Police for security checks etc but we are trying to get this to a minimum. At the moment, it is around 10 days.

Max number of cars: There is a maximum number allowed on the track, but not everyone will want to be out at the same time all day and if the numbers are so huge, firstly i will be jumping for joy at the success, and once calmed down we can operate a rotational system so it's not really an issue.

The earlier you can book the better though, we have a LOT of work to do in setting up etc so to avoid disappointment please don't leave it to the last minute if you can!!! THANK YOU.

Hi, I'm trying to arrange a trip back from Germany - would be ace to get to Marham again...

One question - a couple of my Dutch mates are interested in joining - one in a cool prepped 70's Corolla, the other would be co-driver in my e55. Would there be any problems with security, or is this UK passport thing only? The Corolla has a Dutch MOT equivalent.

So long as they have a valid passport as proof of ID, and you can supply details sooner rather than later - as the security process may take slightly longer - everything is fine!!

There may be people living in the UK with foreign passports who wish to attend and it's exactly the same.

...and there's no 'wrong side' to drive on. Winner!!

Would be good to see you there again Chris! Do you know what day yet? I think I will be Saturday only.

Gents, I'm tinkering with the website, testing out a couple of new themes, don't be alarmed if it looks odd!

Hiya Nigel, yeah it's about time we caught up - nearly two years since we last got together! It would be the Saturday only for me/us too. Drive from Düsseldorf Friday evening, drive back Sunday morning. It's Retro Rides Gathering this weekend, so all being well, we will confirm after that...

Oh, and thanks P200msd smile

Sorry I'm sure it's just me being dumb and I did read above posts but still could get head around it;

There is cost of car (1st driver free) / additional drivers + £10.

No spectators are allowed (understand that).

If I want to bring wife or friend (no spectator, a passenger in car all day) how do I go about this? do I just pay for a car then when all confirmation comes through asking for security details I provide mine as the driver then the same for the passenger? or do I have to click + 1 and pay £10 as if they were an additional driver to register them even though they won't be driving?

Sorry if this was cleared up and I'm an idiot and missed it or missed the point just couldn't see where to state I'd have a passenger.

Andy, for you and the car it's £70 for the day. If you want to bring your wife, that's fine. If she's purely going to watch and not go out on track, she is free, use the contact us form on the website and send me her details, I'll add then to your booking.

If she is going out on track, either as a passenger or extra driver, it will cost you £10 extra.

Andy, I know the feeling mate, I have heard the excited little noise my with makes when she sees the words 'Free gift with purchase!' written on anything....

Also, I've made an error with the costs, if you wish to do both days, the costs will be £120 for you and the car, and then £10 for each additional driver/passenger. I've since corrected this on the booking pages.

@robG, we owe you a tenner mate! Will give it to you on the day!

Rob

What's the age limit on passengers? Was looking to bring my car mad 14 yr old along?

M4 these days, just need to get over 1200 miles before the date so run in service is done.

Regards

Im planning on booking this and iv'e had a look on the website booking page however it's unclear where to state "helpers" who won't be extra passengers or drivers but will be attending to help. Will the website be updated or when the time comes to book, ill email you as above?
