Bit late but http://www.peter-doidge.com/ used to be the place to go for installations in Gt Yarmouth and have been going for many, many years. Perhaps they could give some pointers.

Went to ARS amplifier repair. www.amprepairservices.co.uk

Made a wonderful job repairing my amplifier and restoring it to 'better than new' sound. Highly recommended.

As for the C.D. Player, it just needed servicing and I did this myself in the end. A good clean-up with electrical spray worked wonders! The crud that had collected over the past 30 years would have filled David Bellamy with hours of delight.
