SSW REMINDER

Don't forget everyone, THIS Wednesday is the LAST PHEA SSW of 2015! biggrin

We have gazebo if the weather's dodgy, but it'll be a great way to end the SSW Meets, new for 2015.

Even though the official start is 6pm, because the nights are drawing in, we shall be there from about 5pm, so you're free, you're welcome to join us earlier!

See you all Wednesday smile

Darren
Umbrella packed but need to hide car at the back - won’t get a chance to wash it and it has the remains of a pigeon in the grill

Hopefully some people will see this. I have just arrived and the Tyrella spot is taken up with a big truck, so we are now in front of the toilet block.

Just look to the right when you drive in.

Hopefully see you in a while

I got soaked. Still had a great time on track, can't wait for the next one... shame the nights draw in so quickly now.

My car was ready by lunchtime yesterday, but by then the track day was fully booked.
So I spent the evening with my nose pressed up against the window pane - watching the rain.
Hope you got some clear laps in...

Considering we didn't start the sighting laps until 17.45 and then only 1hr and 15mins of track time before it being abandoned, I think everybody was able to go as fast as they could handle. I track was only red flagged once I think when the Honda max lost it coming out of Agostini. Nice drifting/car control track session.

Well, thanks to those that braved the weather and came last night. I fully understand why some of you did not come so no probs. We had a good time chatting under the gazebo and popping out with our umbrellas to have a quick look around at the other nutters that had come.

I will be doing these events next year too so lets see if we can beat the 30 or so PH cars that we had last month.

Cheers

Eddy

Yes, I am quite surprised that there were not any more issues than just the one with the NSX considering the conditions. Down to sensible driving perhaps?

Was a very wet session on track, good to test the weight reduction and new Michellin PS3 (although I was under tuition).

A Toyota Starlet went too quick coming under the bridge at end of gantry and had to go into the run-off area.

An MX5 did a 360 in front of me and a Audi TT ended up once the grass, apart from the NSX spin off didnt see any other mishaps.

First I wish to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who turned out for this Final SSW of 2015 thumbup

It was pelting down at some points, easing off at other times, but the Meet can only be described as wet!
Again we had to move the stand because of others occupying the Tyrells spot, but it really worked to advantage, using the toilet block and fasteddys' truck as a wind break, plus his large gazebo as a very good shelter - thanks Eddy smile

Despite the rain a good number of you turned out, for which I am extremely grateful.
Please don't worry if you couldn't make, nor fancied standing around in such poor weather. I completely understand, but I hope to see you again.
On this occasion, most of us were regulars, but should the one or two new members wish to know more about us, please check out our dedicated site, PHEA.co.uk. Should you wish to be added to my PHEA Mailing List to receive my emails, please get in touch smile

The PH Stand, although unmarked on account of having nowhere to put up the banner, made up most of the whole SSW Meet!
Another varied display of lovely metal could be seen through all the water, but I enjoyed the evening, especially from a social aspect.

Considering the wonderful success and huge enjoyment of this year's SSW Meets, I can announce they will be back on the Calendar for 2016 smile
Thank you for everyone's support throughout this year's SSW Meets, and again I thank all those who braved the wet conditions for this final SSW!

Finally, I snapped away as usual. My photos can be FOUND HERE.

Next up will see the return of our annual End of Summer Run.
Once I have date confirmations, I will post up Full Details in the coming days smile

I hope to see you all again soon!

Darren
