Hey everyone,

Been very quiet this year for me car wise since I parted with my Z4M Coupe in spring. I managed to get a bit of PH action shooting a short film last year, assisted by a wonderful PHer and when I can share the fruits of my labour I shall do!

Anyway, not having a decent car has finally gotten to me so I have just done a deal on something fun again- a gorgeous Laguna Seca Blue E46 M3.. I shall no doubt be on cloud 9 when I get it in about a fortnight and if any Phers spot me give us a smile or a wave! I'll try and post some pictures soon but it's a very striking car - the colour is cool. I've heard so much about the M3 I just decided it was time to have one, the Z4M was super cool but I needed back seats this time round.

Anyone passing by mine (Sudbury area) is always welcome to come in for a tea or coffee and chat and I look very much forward to trying to be a more active member of PHEA this year. I can't wait to see what Darren has line up!

See you all soon
James

I'll keep my eyes peeled, not far from Sudbury at all. If I need a brew I'll no where to stop!

I'm in an almost black 5 series estate (F11).

Always liked LS blue, although I once saw one at Fairfield BMW in Southend with Kiwi leather, that was vomit inducing! Please tell me the one you have bought doesn't have Kiwi leather.

Good luck with the E46, my friend has one and they are still great cars.

Ian - you'll be pleased to know the interior is black leather! I saw a few dodgy colour combos too, including Laguna Seca Blue LEATHER!! Not a good interior colour IMHO

Yep, there were some sicko's about I once saw a convertible Phoenix Yellow M3 with LSB interior!! You'd have thought BMW would have stopped them from doing things like that.

I used to work for a classic Porsche dealer and I lost count of the cars ruined by hideous colour combos - usually interiors.

There was a 993 Turbo S, beautiful car, not many miles, in Jade Green. Great colour. Unfortunately, said interior was also Jade Green. The whole thing.

There was also more than one 944 where the original buyer had opted to have tartan fabric rather than leather.

This is the car anyway:

Looks nice, CSL style wheels on the E46 always look great, my friends has had them from new.

If you see a bloke in a 5 series waving or flashing madly that'll be me!!

Good Luck

You'll have to give me more than that to go on Ian, any number of people might be waving at me from a 5 series - some might even be using all of their fingers!

Hi James, the M3 looks really nice. I do like the color, very unusual.

Hope to catch up at a few events through the year.

I'll wave if I see you, I'm sure you recognise the Prowler by now. biggrin

A very distinctive thing indeed!

I'm very much hoping to get back onto the PH circuit this year. I hate not going to the shows but I feel a bit stupid if I don't have something half-nice to turn up in.

Hoping to get the M3 ship-shape though and show-worthy. The colour certainly makes it stand out in the sea of silver/black ones
