A most enjoyable (albeit cold) morning.

The Cossie made 281.5bhp on the rollers, bang on what Cosworth rate their supercharger installation at, very happy.

Thanks to Fast Eddy, Clive Atthowe and his team.

Don't forget Simon, to tell me if the White Black series Merc made more than your 6.3 ;-)

Quite pleased with my result although heat soak shouldn't be an issue with the size of my intercooler, but in the right area just 8bhp from what it should be. Pleased also with my customers curve on his white Fiesta ST. Simon's C63 was immense!

Had a great day, thanks for arranging it Eddy, to Rebecca for the bacon rolls and the rolling road team, they worked their socks off today.

Would be good to see the results if people want to update the table as we go, the SRT made 333 bhp at 5,738 rpm and 305 lbft torque and it's totally stock, even has paper air filters so was really pleased as a baseline.

With the results so far:

1. iluvmercs - Whichever car Mum and Dad want "tested"
2. 360 - Something German
3. Meiser - MKIV Supra V8
4. Al 991 - CS 991
5. mike-p - GT86 Cosworth = 281 bhp
6. jayemm89 - E46 M3
7. jimjam92 - 350Z
8. Richard Swadling - 200SX
9. andycaca - S8 or GT4

11. fast eddys - something light
12. Neil - BMW135i
13. Bokers - R53 Mini
14. GeordieDave - Civic Type R
15. Gaz453 - LCR or hopefully something different

Couldn't get a decent reading.

Spinning the wheels on the rollers in 4th, too fast for the rollers in 5th.

Clive reckoned it should be good for the 510bhp iits supposed to have.

541 Bhp, 330lbft. Not bad for a normally aspirated lump. Took a while to get going though as car wouldn't go through gears in dyno mode until we worked it out. Then major wheel spin issues when it came alive.. Pretty much what was expected, in that Ferrari figures are about 10% optimistic, and speciale should be 25hp more then an italia which it is based on 541. (Italia 518bhp is realistic)

A cold, wet day, but really enjoyed it, none the less. I couldn't get an accurate power reading as my 'box only locked couldn't lock in 3rd (1:1), but it was great to see such a variety of cars and great to meet you all. Hopefully, I'll tag along to a few more events this year and another rolling road day next year, once I get my manual controller fitted smile!

Thanks to everyone for coming. Another extremely successful event.

I got the lowest power figure by far at 136, but at just under 600kg still a good power/weight and we plan to get another 15+hp

Great to meet up with you folks.
Sorry I didn't put the MX5 on the rollers but I wouldn't want to ruin Clives income by breaking them with My massive power output !! wink

That was interesting - you know when you hear an engine screaming at the upper end of the rev range - you know around 7000 rpm - well the 458 just kept going

and going

and going

till it finished clearing it's throat at 9500 rpm

Made 312bhp and 297lbft, bit disappointed at first as stock is 316bhp and 332lbft. Then Clive said about it being an auto box which is a bit of a pain on a rolling road so fairly happy in the end.
Thanks to all involved in organising, was a good day.

BHP is about right but I noticed most cars were reading lower on torque than they should be (mine was nearly 30lb ft off hub dyno and so was Tom) There is certainly no BS from this dyno.

I think Clive struggled with a number of the auto's, as each car probably needs a certain technique. He said my Crossfire kept kicking down even when in tiptronic and not flooring the kick switch. It only managed one decent run giving 333.0 bhp by selecting 4th and winding the speed up slowly until you reach a point you can floor it without it changing down.

With all the clever electronics stopping some delivering their potential, some spinning the wheels as the tyres were damp and all the auto's, Clive and the team did a great job. Had a great time, but think I may now have caught the bhp bug.

Great day, thanks for arranging it Eddy, thanks to Rebecca for the bacon rolls, coffee and Clive's rolling road team.
Couldn't get a decent reading, only 200bhp from a 2.8 Carrera s frownlaugh

Spinning the wheels on the rollers and the PDK wouldn't allow the RR to record a true figure. Clive thought the front wheels needed to be spinning. The cars brain could not cope with back wheels going hell for leather and the fronts at stop. Dash lit up like a christmas tree laugh Had to take the car for a run down the road to sort out the warning lights. Happy to say all is fine with the porker now.

Clive reckoned it should be good for the 400bhp it's supposed to have.

Meet up and had a great time with the fellow Petrol Headssmile

First time mine has been tested since being owned. First it made 320bhp which I was very happy with but was soon corrected to 258 bhp as the auto surged at the start like it does throwing the curve off. Rather disappointed as it's a long way from 290 bhp stock even with better headers, better intake, new spark plugs, new injectors. AFR was very rich in the top end so have since dropped the fuel psi back down. Only thing else is to try a Terraclean but am left wondering what could be strangling it. No cats, free flowing 3" exhaust with 2 boxes.

Regardless, was a great day out and pleased to meet other welcoming and like minded people smile Many thanks for organising the event.

Hi guys. What a wet day! Thanks to all who organised it.

The Clio 182 managed 187 and the M5 got 557 I think (or somthing like that).

I hope Ian, Eddie and Rebecca enjoyed the racing the following day. Here are the highlights:

I very much enjoyed the racing and I think I've started to get to grips with panning shots at last (I think I took about 3000 shots between 9am and 6pm)

I have around 200 decent (ish) shots of you from Sundays race.

Mainly taken at Murrays (frequently on 2 or 3 wheels - useful that the Clio has excellent tyre saving function by cocking a wheel or two on corners if you are limited on the number of tyres you can use in a season)

On the start of the start finish straight after Murrays where I was practicing panning!!

I don't normally upload at high res because it takes ages on my internet connection but I'll do that for you - I'll throw them at high res into a photobucket album and you can download them from there.
