My MX5 has gained a nice scratch on the passenger door and rear wing, either from a branch or being keyed
Does anyone have any recommendations for either a smart repairer or inexpensive, but half decent, bodyshop who could sort this for me?

I'm in Manningtree, so Colchester or Ipswich would be ideal..

Small world. Do you go to any local car meets or shows when the weather is better?

I've been to the Manningtree car show a few times, but that's all.

Motts in Nayland used to have a good rep, not sure if they still do..

For any bodywork issues, I normally take my car to Ipswich Accident repair on the Martlesham industrial estate.
Not the cheapest but still quite reasonable and their work is top notch.
