For the past twelve years I have supported and enjoyed my local vintage show, featuring steam, vintage tractors and cars. My own contributions each year have been cars from the 1920's, this year a major change, I have gone modern to 1968. My local show tells me 'we don't want you' the cut off is 1965 and my car is 1968.
What price loyalty eh!! Deeply disappinted with the computer says attitude. Rules is rules though, thanks Woolpit steam.

Bit like that with Skeyton goat, used to be pre 85 or anything fun and interesting/rare. Then strictly pre 85 and hard luck if youd taken your car for previous years, your not comin in...

To a point I can understand that the showground is small and they would want to restrict the numbers of cars. However, to use such a blunt instrument as manufactured year of vehicle is missing so much of interest.
Naturally I am very disapppointed but my car is a 1968 Volvo 123gt, they made just 1500 of these mainly for homogligate for the rally circuit Most enthusiasts may be interested to have a look at one of these perhaps, but because of the year cut off no chance.at this show.
Time and again the car show line up will feature club cars, which is fine, but how many cars of the same model do you need to see in a line up.
Perhaps I may appeal!
Gutted.
