Hi all, been very quiet on here for a while due to a recent new arrival. Now at the age of 6 months with the niec weather it a bit of a shame Loti only has 2 seats and as a result not being used much.
Question is I'm considering an alternative and wonder if the Chimaera or Cerbera have enough room in the rear (Not the boot
)for a Child seat to we nipper over the comming years.
A Maser 3200 has also been sugested although perhaps a little concerned at the potential running costs of that.

What he said. I'd suggest the back seats of a Cerbera will work up to about a 5-year old before it gets cramped. And you can't get the roof off a Cerbie, if that's a criterion. It's a great shame TVR didn't make a decent four-seater for people with families - many couples have had to sell up because of this.
Thats a bit extreme 
A Maser 3200 will make the TVR look reliable! I looked but the size of the bills put me off.
Try an XKR or a 911 if you want something that is ok for the babette and not likely to stretch the finances unduly. The XKR is truly suprising for such a big car and you can get either convertible or coupe and they are stunning value!

As above, in the boot.
I have seen a rather clever guy who had two sprogs, and tow chair things in the back... Quite a bit of construction when he arrived at the meet, but there we go..
And once they are old enough, they are the coolest kids on the school run too.......

At six months my eldest was in a Mamma's and Pappa's puschair, there is no way that would have fitted in the boot of a Cerb!
Three years ago I was using a double buggy, again had difficulty fitting this into certain vehicles.
Ideally i'd have a two seater and make the brats walk. Six months is never too young to learn.

Cerb is great for nippers. Our 5 and 4 year old have loads of room, I think its only when they get to about 8/9/10 that it starts getting cramped.
Loads of room for pushchair(s) in the boot. We've managed a 5 man tent, 4 sleeping bags, 4 airbeds and enough food and clothes for a weekend camping in ours, it is really quite a good size.

Yep, the Cerb boot is pretty much the same size as my Chimaeras. My girlfsriend had a 99 Hyundai Coupe and I could get twice as much in my boot than she could in hers. I also have more capacity than a Focus - providing the seats aren't down obviously.
I've had a Cerb 4.5 for almost 5 years and my kids have been fine in the back until now - they are 7 and 10 and above average height for their age. They would still be fine for a few more years if it were not for the fact that I am 6' 5" tall and have to have the drivers seat all the way back. So, alas the Cerb is now for sale.
Forward facing child seats are OK in the rear; we had a Recarro Start seat which fitted perfectly.

Hmmm, maybe it's worth a purchase then! What about the dog? Is there room for him too?!

I did have a picture but it and many others are with the ex, so unretrievable. Of course, if it had been a Retriever and not a Labrador...
The beast simply settled down across the back - we kept the rear section up to give it more space and provide some protection. It survived the journey from Essex to Norfolk completely unphased!

Looks like a Cerb is in the running, Have also consider the XK but its just not exclusive enough to be the 'fun' car. I still want something that gives a smile every time I open garage which is why a 911 is not to high on the list either (not wanting to offend anyone here)
If the back seat are big enough to fit a 5 year old and even upto 10 at a squeeze it will fit my needs. I'm not so concerrned about up to 10 as I'll probably moved on to somehting or be at the stage when farther son bonding takes lead and the Miss's can stay at home.
In which case the Esprit replacement maybe on the cards
