Hmm, forecasts! We shall see!

You can have another slice of toast if you like as the 'pitch' is already secure - space at Lavenham is tightly controlled so everything is reserved well in advance. Just show your pass to the gate marshal, mention PH and you'll be directed to the right space. We may be packed in like sardines, so please (everyone) try not to leave overly-big gaps between cars.

wavey See you there!

Hi just a quick note that if any of you are walking into Lavenham there is a great shop at the top of the hill called Chille and Chives they will give 10% discount for all PH'ers. They do fresh filled rolls etc but they are well known for there home made frozen foods I reccomend the seafood pancakes!!! Just say your a PH'er and I promise you will not get a funny look.

I guess that I shall be there betwen 10.00 and 10.30. Its a long way for PHEA (Northern Division) from the wilds of Lincolnshire.

Lets hope the weather is better than last weekend at Rougham!!

I shall also be at the Stamford show on Sunday with others of the 'Northern Division' so a full report will be available on Monday!

Been up to the show ground this afternoon. Its in very good condition considering the rain we've had, nice lush green grass on a good solid base (at the moment).

Our slot has been marked out ("PH" and it is very tight 10M wide by 20M deep, but we are on an end location so we can nick a bit more!!!

As you come into the entrance past the Tenis Courts on your left, turn between the tennis courts and the pavillion into the Field. As yo come into the field turn left and the "PH" stand is a little way in on the Left.

I spoke to one of the Marshalls and he said this was the biggest show (10th Year) and they have 550 cars booked in and are hoping that 15% dont show as they're not sure how they are going to pack them in. (he said it was pretty normal to get a 15% fall out, although some try and turn up on the day to get in, and there will not be room without the entry ticket).

This show only has the one entrance (in and out) down a small lane, so the cars do back up pretty quickly.

See you all Monday

Two more PHEA promotions:

Patrick - 'Scout'
Scott - 'Catering Officer'

nuts

Lavenham have given us a space that is deeper than wide (again rolleyes) but at least being on an end means that access is bearable.

Heavy rain through the night, but blue sky's and sunshine now. Been in my garden and the rain seems to have been well soaked up, grass a little wet but other than that pretty good.

Little bit chilly, but still bearable in tea shirt, see you all later

It was my day off!

Today just goes to show it's not the weather or even the event that makes it, but the people. Despite the threat of bad weather, 16 out of 15 cars turned up smash but with Patrick grabbing what amounted to an extra row before the marshals had woken up properly, we all fitted in and even had room for Andrew's hard-pressed gazebo. Good job too!

Too many other halves and families to mention everyone but thanks to Ian (Corvette), Gary (Ultima), Paul (Griffith), Ferg (Libra), Andrew (Tuscan), Richard (Monaro), Nigel & Mary (Viper), Derek (Tasmin), Dave (Austin Windsor), Harley & Sally (Chimaera), Patrick (Ford GT), Alan (Cerbera), Richard (Marcos Mantis), Steve & Sue (Chimaera) and Paul & Sue (Chimaera) for braving the rain. Also lots of interest from the public, especially over the Ford GT which has happily unofficial flagship!

We also have a PHEA mascot, 'Scarlet' the Hungarian Viszla who made friends with everybody and liked chips...

Evidently Bacardi is safely home... unless he posted those pix from a layby using a Blueberry (sic)... it seems that Douwe Egberts Continental Gold wasn't quite right. Which coffee did you use this time? spin

I'm knackered, but will add some pix later. Cheers all!

yikes I know Harley. What a picture!!! paperbag I shall have to have words with Paul I think !nono I think it must have been a mix of the rain coming in sideways, the hot coffee and the cold.

Despite the worst the weather could due though a very good day out with some great people.
I think I,m all 'showed out' now for this year. I need a rest!!

I don,t think my camera liked the weather either (or I,ve altered something without knowing), all of my photos have come out with very poor colours!! I,ve messed about with them a bit but there still not brilliant. Heres a few below, and the rest are here : http://s55.photobucket.com/albums/g14
