After discussions at todays meeting it has been decided to move Novembers meeting to Sunday the 10th December and partake of a Christmas meal at the Gardeners Arms.

We will need to book numbers very quickly with the pub and a deposit (£10 each) will be required to secure the booking. I have added the menu below so if you would like to attend would you please add you details to this thread or PM me. We also have to decide upon the food and pre-book it, so along with your details could I have your choice of Starter, Main and Dessert please.

With regard to the deposit for the meal, I am happy to collect all the individual cheques so I can spend it !! I mean send one cheque on to the pub. If you are coming along PM me though my profile and I will mail you my address back. Thanks. Hope this is acceptable to everyone.

I would like to confirm a booking with the pub in about a weeks time. Thanks.

The good news is that you can get happily plastered while we have to sip our halves of shandy!

Everyone above this thread is now on my list, and should have my address for the deposit.

Patrick, Hannah : we need to prebook the food so can you have a look at the menu and let me know your choices please.

It's going to be big - maybe we should simply buy the pub, rename it the 'Pie & Piston' and hire the staff back...

Welcome aboard Andy. Could you drop me a line through my profile with the number coming and food choices for each please ASAP.

I will email you back with my address for the deposit cheque. I want to try and finalize the booking with the pub by Monday next week if possible.

Thanks, and look forward to seeing you there.

Hello Ian

YHM. Angela and I will be there. Good crowd on Sunday - nice to see everybody!

Just wondering how to wangle another lift in order to keep the alcohol level topped up!! The flat battery syndrome won't work again - new one required I fear - no life after an overnight charge!

Perhaps I should persuade the other half to drive the TVR --- deep thourght --- on the other hand perhaps I'll stick to shandy!
