Well had a great day yesterday, it was good to meet you Susser and crew, I should have some decent pictures soon which I will attempt to post a few of.
I thought it was one of the best track days I have done to date, the track wasn't overly crowded however there were a few stoppages in the afternoon for incedents!

And thanks too to you Tom for the ride. !!
Good news with Sprog's Wedge; We've stripped the rear brakes out and after we've got a few new bits we'll be up and running.
Pity about the afternoons stoppage. Not everyone was driving within their capabilities. At least no one was (badly) hurt.
PS
Looking forward to the Pictures.

Yeah and thanks for the quick ride out in the 7!!
Glad the wedge didn't suffer too much but a shame you missed out on the afternoons track time...
I received your email ok and will email over some pictures later, I'm hopefully going to get the disk this afternoon...
Susser, get your head down and get on with that course.
Then i can get on with my 26 jobs and not have to keep checking PH for eagerly awaiting snett photos.
Also bit of wheel bearing noise on way home last night, louder when you give it some right hand down, almost silent with left. May need some investigation. Could it be that spin or just lots of trackday (ab)use ?

Second that
Very good driving Tom. Pity the bloke in the rover didn't have much idea though.
As for "Twizzling Jonny", once we get the 2 litre Zetec nailed into that Escort, we'll have to put a swivelling seat in so he can keep facing the way he's going. Arf arf.

Glad you enjoyed it!
It was bit too much speed, lift off oversteer and then not quick enough to catch it. So a both feet in and keep the wheel straight was the order of the day!
I remember seeing a red e30 as i went round, were you behind that?
Saying that is was my only one of the day! And im glad no one else was involved.
Sorry! :-(

I had a great time there - good weather
Somebody rolled their Rover tho.
Tom - good driving, it was fun following your round.
That Escort spun in front of me at Riches Corner - the scariest moment all day.
I have some pictures - I'll put them up later

Thanks, not sure I am that good a driver, but I was enjoying myself!
Were you the Silver Z4? I think I have some shots of that also, I'll try to dig them out!
The rover rolling was a bit of a shock, I thought it'd be the metro!!
Tom
I saw the later part of the Rover rolling. I suspect that it was a result of Youthfull Exuberance (read as "going too fast". Looks like it was a failure to keep "Both feet in" during a spin, resulting in a backwards car with the fronts gripped up and steering.
Yes you are good. Your driving had all the right points nailed;
Turn in, apexes, getting on the power, corner exit etc. Maybe just need to get a bit closer to the limits of adhesion. (read "go a little faster". In My Humble Opinion.

Thanks for the compliments, I think its also down to a slight lack of experience on track, not doing enough track days and also not wanting to risk damage to my P&J!!! Still I'm sure I'll get quicker the more I do!!!
Im was fairly happy until i pushed that envelope a bit much, but its all part of the learning curve! i knew my limit afterwards! Just one of those things that happens, you push and push for lap after lap, then just get a bit too quick, anyway you slow down and work at just below the level.
And i just love that bomb hole!!! followed by a 80mph corum :d
