Had a good day out although the drive home was a bit slow - got stuck behind a Griff (in case you weren't aware your offside brake light's not working John)
Yep, Paul told me about the brake light. Too bad!Drive home was largely wrecked by slow stuff unfortunately - didn't get past the last of the numpties until 2 miles from home!
Sorry Steve, lost you as you took off along the A134! Katie was nodding like a churchill dog before we got to Cockfield, and with that heavy helmet on, i took it fairly easily. Glad the valve didn't let go, to far from home.
Hopefully see a few of you at Woodbridge track day next week.

Having finally managed to get my account verified... I can now post!
I went to the Lavenham show today, and was VERY impressed by the PH stand... so much so, that I was going to ask if I can bring my car next year?
Ferg and r3nuf know me and my car, if you want a couple of referees!
cheers,
David Jenkins

Hi all,
This was my first visit to a ph do and i just wish we had come along sooner, thanks for making us all so welcome and managing to bend the rules so we could all get on to the stand(i promise we will be better organised next time......maybe). sorry we had to leave so early but a drive through the suffolk countryside was calling!!!

Rules are made to be bent Delighted you all made it and we hope you can come to future PHEA events. You can track them here or at www.phea.co.uk.
PHEA (Pistonheads East Anglia, a material offshoot of a cyber-community) is coordinated by myself and Ian V; we have a mailing list for e-shots so if you'd like to be included just mail me via my profile and we'll add you.

That's the last PHEA Roadshow event until next year, but we hope to see you all again in 2009 - especially those who had to leave early. Next up is the Late Summer Run on 21st September, and I guess we need to find a new pub for the monthly meets as well.
Glad you all had a good one yesterday. Its not quite it for shows John. We have 18 of us going to Mildenhall on the 6th remember, although this one has been full for some time now.
The pub scouts are out on our behalf. Anya and NASCAR are looking into suitable pubs to invade, so I,ll keep you posted.

Always trust PHEA to put on a good show!!!!
On the strength of that showing they might give us more room next year!
As for the convoy of odd cars to confuse the announcer.......
I thought the announcer always got confused, did he think that Patrick's GT was worth £3 million again this year? On the strength of that showing they might give us more room next year!

BTW next year I need to promote the info sheets again - then you can just give them to the announcer and he reads them out

Although perhaps I should consider turning up in something that might be more in-tune with the announcer's interests - might make for a long journey from London though.
You could borrow Dave's 1908 Codger-Bealey next year.Although a few quick sums tell me that you'll need to leave this afternoon!

Were you at Lavenham Dave? They had an impressive collection of true 'old crocks' including a Stanley Steamer.
No John, I found myself at the Gressenhall Workhouse Museum, a few oldies there and some old cars too. It was a 'Village at War' theme so lots of military, land girls,Tommies and some fella as a 'Spiv' selling duff watches and nylons (but I did get paid)Hi ya guys!
First of all, no problem for supplying the BBQ. It's my pleasure!
Thank you very much for organising the event, John.
The turnout was nothing short of AMAZING!
And being asked to be one of the cars to represent PH in the ring, was a splendid honour.
An excellent day, wonderful company, superb cars and attractions, with great weather, to boot. What more can I say?
I shall certainly be returning next year!
One more show to go, and then I've done the lot for 2008!
Finally, the photos....all in a sperate thread, you can find HERE

Thanks Darren - all nice pix but this one needs a health warning:I think you're the only PHer to have attended ALL the shows and as such richly deserve a special medal at the Christmas Dinner.
Unfortunately we haven't got any more medals, but I just wanted to let you know we'd thought about it
Who owned the Bentley Continental on the stand?
I think it was him who I had a little "play" with last week. He was only a bit quicker than me
Nice colour BTW, really suits the car
