Had a great day out, thanks to Mark for organising smile The pace to Stowmarket was a bit quick for me, and I had a couple of hairy moments (including a minor off road excursion - but saved it and got back on the tarmac again!). Apologies to the car behind me who probably thought I (and my TF) was going to end up in the ditch!

Aside from that though, had a fab drive smile

Edit -> Yeah, we're fine. The pace was too quick, and I'm an inexperienced driver (only passed my test a couple of months ago), so I guess it was inevitable. No injuries to us or the car, so it's all good.

That was an excellent day out. Was hoping for the loudest car award but I think the judging was a bit random tongue out

Only thing what went wrong was when nearly home again the TVR performed a wheels-up landing having sheared off a suspension bolt, damn. Time for a rear suspension rebuild (and some poly bushes) methinks. Could have been worse - the number of slightly-airborne bits at high speeds on B roads that it could have broken on... and it broke on a 10mph left turn. Go figure.

Hi steve thanks for leading the group today, did look for you before we left, I think you had already gone. Decided to go straight A14 A10 home.
Surprising how knackering it is
driving. See you on the next one!

No worries Paul - with a four-hour route back home I decided to make tracks. Managed to get some nice Suffolk and Essex b-roads on the way. There's a Northants run next Sunday if you're free.

Many thanks to everyone for brightening up a normally boring Sunday morning Tesco carpark. Was on my Sunday morning walk with the dogs and the missus and managed to get her to wait around for half an hour watching you guys turn up. A very nice selection of cars indeed.

Although i did have the micheal taken out of me for the rest of the day by my other half "Did you enjoy watching the brum brums go vroom, vroom"

A BIG thanks to Mark for all his efforts organising this!

Was a fantastic day with some great 'B' roads and pretty villages en route.

Had the car sideways a couple of times on the way to Stowmarket biggrin

Fish n' Chips was definately worth the queue too!

Glad the people in the TF are o.k

Shame about the door Ian - that would really get the blood boiling!
Looking at the pic of that car, looks like the driver needs to review his parking method too!

Looking forward to the next one already, cheers.

Was visiting Dad in Woodbridge so took my boys out for a run at Aldeburgh beach about 3.30 pm. Saw the 3 Vets in the beach carpark and the Lambo Spyder.

But it was fekin' freezin' jeez! and that wind. Bit of a shock after getting sunburnt at an all day drinking session in a pub garden on the Saturday. laugh

Anyhow it's the closest I've gotten to seeing a fellow PHer in the flesh so to speak.

Epic run, not just in numbers but in the lack of numpties en route. So many runs are spoilt by Sunday shoppers but not so today. Well we met two but desptached them promptly. In a way there was no chance of losing the convoy because it was so big and took so many routes you could make a minor error and find another bit of it!

All we need now is a car park nearer the chip shop - or perhaps a PHer has a mobile chip van? - so we don't all perish like Captain Scott on the trek back!

Well done Mark!

The Boys done good....again - Thanks guys for a great run out with some good roads to stretch the old gals legs a little. Thanks to Purrfect for a great afternoon - even though you did convince me to chauffeur you into the town centre coz you couldn't be bothered to walk;). Sorry we missed everyone - found a cool cafe to put the world to rights for three hours!... and when we got back everyone had gone - and it was bloody cold!!

Is my grammar correct???;);)

Bugger.....forgot to say...

I spoke to the Bugatti/hybrid/something car owner - I can't remember what he called it. It was one of six cars build by the people who build the body(Ithink) of Bugatti's. This was their own design with a 5.8 corvette engine and they were called it the EB????. I kinda think its all a bit close to a Bugatti rip-off myself but he reckoned it was worth between £30-80k.

Beautiful car though........ I would look at buying one myself but there's only 2 in the UKcry

Thanks for organizing another great run Mark!

Apologies for the detours into Newmarket Town Centre (and briefly along the A14) to the people following me on the Cambridge to Stowmarket leg - we are blaming google wink We got back on track pretty quickly though.

Only one c0ck-up on the Stowmarket to Aldeburgh leg too (so we're getting better!), plus the other group had caught up anyway so we just merged in once we'd turned round laugh

A great mix of cars and good to meet a few more PHEA people too. Very tasty fish and chips plus ice-cream yum were well worth braving the wind for.
