I guess some fault could lie in our own complacency. If we see someone who is clearly unfit/incompetent, and can take video evidence etc safely.
Perhaps it should be reported to the police....problem is. Because they werent speeding, the police probably wont give a fk so it would be a total waste of time and effort.

I reported a drunk driver once.

A friend met the local police later that night and asked what the outcome was.

They found the car, it was outside a house with the front door wide open and the person who had been driving asleep upstairs flat drunk.
But it was ok...he got home safe and was one of their own.

Not quite the outcome I'd have expected after reporting a car driving the wrong way around a roundabout, over a traffic island and flat out into the housing estate clearly drunk.

Sadly this was a 60-ish year old lady simply having long eye contact conversations with her passenger. Not drunk, just an idiot. Police would have no interest.

Why not drunk?

She could have been off her tits on sherry and telling her passenger that she was her best mate.

Oldandslow- I've just noticed you have a Scimitar. I have always hankered after one of those. As it turns out i might consider picking up a second car to run for a year or so while my lift share buddy is off on maternity. When you see things like this- http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C412812 - it does look like a cheap way to have a bit of fun. However, I expect paying £2000 for one would be a false economy. What are your thoughts? Can it be done?

PM sent. Short answer. It can be done but I wouldn't rely on it as a daily more of a hobby car.

The way the Larne line is set up is a death trap at night time. I was driving on it last night and with the rain and those huge lorries with their dozens of lights and small narrow cornering they have right now due to construction, I honestly felt unsafe. Can't wait till it is fixed.

Seen somebody mentioned about people just pulled up on the road and talking to somebody. I had this last week of a country road right next to the motorway from Newry to Belfast, at the Dromore area. Just parked in the middle of the road at the junction having a right yarn with a local farmer. That was an accident waiting to happen.

Then we have the other and most dangerous of drivers in the mornings who despite knowing there is a primary school and lollypop ladies standing about, still decided to fly down the road. Some just fly on through the crossing lady. Locals are trying to get politicians to get speed ramps built. Some kids have been near killed there. In the Ravenhill/Woodstock Road area.
So many people deserve to have their license taken away.
